It’s not my agility that catches basketball player Tyron Channing’s attention. It can’t be when he found me grazed and hurt after an embarrassing slip. But my oh my, his breath-catching growls and him hauling me off my ass with a question that makes my head spin: Who did this to you? — make me dizzy with want.
Between his intensity and his sweetness, he turns me into a melted puddle of goo, which isn’t as gross as it sounds. And who knew I liked my men to wield facts like they’re as essential as oxygen, all while being so smart that sometimes his brain-to-mouth function has no filter?
There’s something else you need to know about Tyron. He’s all in and holds nothing back from our new friendship. Because that’s totally what this is, right? Carrying my bag to classes, handing me my favorite coffee when I least expect it, being my defender, and introducing me to his teammates… they’re all normal actions when people become study partners. I’ll keep telling myself that—anything more with Tyron seems impossible.
That doesn’t stop me from fantasizing or holding out hope that one day, Tyron will see me as more than the geeky math nerd who just happens to have caught his attention.
REVIEW:
This was such a sweet, mostly uncomplicated, story.
Logan and Tyron are two lovable guys. Both intellectual and dedicated.
Tyron is coming from a warm family, with all the room to be himself and explore.
Logan isn’t that lucky, his parents are cold, demanding, calculating, and homophobic. He needs all his strength to keep them out of his life as much as possible.
Thank goodness he had contact with his grandpa the last two years of the man’s life.
Tyron wants to stay low during the basketball season. No spotlights on him. He has a very busy schedule.
But a chance to be with Logan he can’t let pass.
They started a bit awkward, with some miscommunication and misunderstanding, but it was all fun.
You can feel it in the air, something beautiful is blooming. Yes, that’s a fact!
Logan has a secret project to honor his grandpa, which no one knows about. It’s hard work because Logan is quite clumsy and can’t have that working for this project.
Both feel the pressure of duties and responsibilities, Tyron feels responsible for a lot of things and it’s tiring him out. So here’s where some stress is slipping into the story.
Tyron and Logan are soft, warm, and most of the time mature. Tyron’s family was a wonderful addition to the story. The basketball teammates and friends were awesome.
The author has a lovely way of writing, with a positive atmosphere, sometimes a bit confusing when we are middle of something and the facts about it, to make things clear, came later.
Overall a story with a sweet and precious romance.
