It all began with the kiss of Death.
Blurb
Abaddon, the Destroyer, right hand of Lucifer, has returned from the dead with one thing on his mind: revenge on the Horseman who kept him from taking back what is his. But spending time alone with Death has awakened something between them, resulting in an experience that he enjoys more than revenge. The natural conclusion is to keep doing it, of course. He never planned on his heart getting involved with a Horseman he can’t even touch.
Death is the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, arriving only when the end is near. The Apocalypse he and his brothers were summoned for this time is over, lost when they lost one of their own, but the stakes are higher now than ever before. It isn’t just Earth that’s at risk; the fate of existence now hangs in the balance, with a power-hungry God ready to unleash a new world order.
Death cannot touch another and has resigned himself to spending his existence alone, until a kiss changes everything for him. When Abaddon returns, and they pick up right where they left off, Death doesn’t fight the attraction that spirals out of control faster than they can keep up with it. Death cannot feel Abaddon’s skin against his own, but Abaddon breaks so beautifully under him anyway, taking everything that he can give and asking for more.
Abaddon had never imagined that he would love anyone or fall so hard, so fast. Death had never imagined that he would find someone to walk beside him, someone to call his own. Time is running out for them, and if they don’t find a way to push back against the powers vying for them, all will be lost.
The last Apocalypse is coming, and no one is safe.
Death is the fourth and final book in the Four Horsemen series, filled with snark and morally questionable characters. This book is not a standalone and must be read in order.

Abaddon found himself suddenly shoved against the wall, Death’s Power holding him secure against it. He wriggled, trying to get out, but he couldn’t budge.
“What the fuck?” Abaddon growled.
“We need to talk,” Death stated. Strands of his black settled across Abaddon’s throat, searing it and settling in as his skin healed over it.
“You could have just asked,” Abaddon choked out. His dick was already filling from the pain radiating out from his neck.
“I told you I wouldn’t ask.”
Abaddon’s breath quickened as heat flooded him. Damn. “Only talk?” Abaddon asked huskily. “I’m up for doing more where they can all hear.”
“Those sounds are for me alone,” Death said simply.
Disappointment swirled with the lingering lust. “Then what do you want?” He paused. “Let me see you,” he dared to say. He wouldn’t have a conversation with this Being while he looked into a sea of black. He wanted to see those eyes.
Death hesitated before his hood swept from his head, and his face came into view. Abaddon’s groin pulsed just from the view. Adonis had nothing on this Horseman. Cheekbones to die for, a powerful jaw, smooth, flawless skin. And yeah, those fucking eyes were the feature piece. Abaddon loved how creepy they were.
“The only blood you will taste of freely will be mine, do you understand?”
It took a second for Abaddon to catch up and work out what he was talking about since he was still stuck on Death’s handsome features and just what he wanted Death to do to him.
Did he mean when he’d licked the blade in Heaven and tasted Gabriel? He’d tasted like weakness and fear, anyway. Not his favorite combination.
The indigitation set in seconds later. “Like your Power is only mine?” he shot back.
“I cannot give you what you want. To use it is to survive.”
“Then I guess we’re at an impasse,” Abaddon said haughtily.
“No, we aren’t,” Death said. “Because you won’t be disobeying me, will you?”
Abaddon swallowed hard, trying to bite back a moan as Death trailed black up his cheeks, flaying him open like he’d turned his Power into the sharpest blade. Hot wetness ran down, dripping red on the floor beneath them.
“What do I get in return?” Abaddon bit out.
“Me.”
Abaddon’s heart skipped a beat. “You?”
Death moved closer, placing one gloved hand beside Abaddon’s head. He wanted to turn it and bite it, suck it into his mouth and feel blood fill his mouth. But the Power buried in his throat stopped him from doing anything but looking into Death’s milky eyes.
“You are the only one I touch like this,” Death whispered. “The only one who gets to feel the pleasure of it. The only one that will feel me linger, and play.”
Abaddon wanted to play right fucking now. “I don’t believe you.”
“I don’t lie, Abaddon.”
“Bullshit,” Abaddon hissed. “You can’t tell me there wasn’t something going on between you and Gabriel. I’m not fucking blind. So go tell someone else your filthy lies.”
“Gabriel and I shared a friendship, so in that regard, yes, there was something going on.”
Abaddon pursed his lips, trying to tamp down the hope that maybe, maybe, this was for him alone. That something belonged only to him for once.
Death’s face softened. “You think you’re the only one here that has never been wanted for anything more? You were the first to ask for a kiss, Abaddon, and the only one that I will grant it to.”
“If I… if I wanted to kiss you now?” He ached so badly he was thrumming with it. Needed to feel them against his skin again, needed to taste them. He didn’t care that it meant he would die again. He wanted it more than he wanted to live.
