REVIEW:
For anyone who has read any of Kaje Harpers wonderful books, you already know that she is an amazing story teller. I was introduced to this author by the very first free story she wrote for the GoodReads MM Book group – now almost a dozen years ago. Time flies when you’re having fun 🙂 Since then I’ve read nearly everything that she has publishes – whether historical, contemporary, out-for-you, second chances, mystery, paranormal, sci-fi, whatever the genre will be. Every single time I am in awe of her talent.
In her Facebook readers group, she shares stories most Sundays. Sometimes they are longer. Sometimes they are short. The subject or genre can be anything. What they all share in common is quality. She can write a short story that will leave you in tears. She can write a novella that will leave you smiling. She can write long long novels that will leave you reeling. Honestly I’m pretty sure there is nothing she can’t do if she sets her mind to it. The compendium of stories range in word count, subject matter and genre. They are all worth your time to read.
My personal favorites include the Holiday story of Mac and Tony ten year into their marriage and a Christmas slice of life with their now teenage children. Anniversary is another favorite. Jack and David’s WWII story is another lovely homage to those who had to hide their love historically. Fetching him Home is a sweet story told from an unusual POV. I swear you will not be disappointed if you grab this book full of stories that contain love in the best possible way. Highly recommended.
