When the British billionaire wants to teach the cocky athlete a brand new kind of game…
Lately, I’ve been full of questions. One hot summer night, I find all the answers when I kiss another guy for the first time. But he disappears, leaving me wondering who my mystery man was.
I can’t stop thinking about him. Even on the ball field, I’m daydreaming about his hungry hands, and the filthy things he whispered in his posh British accent.
Somehow, I still win one of the biggest games of my career, and afterward, the man surprises me with an invitation: “Meet me in a private suite.”
When I RSVP, he makes me an offer–one chance to try all the things I’ve never experienced. Then we’ll walk away.
But once will never be enough.
Soon I’m locked into an intense lessons-in-seduction game with the secretive billionaire who keeps love at a distance, all while he pushes the boundaries of my brand-new desires.
Then, I learn that all my desires come with a terrible cost, as he breaks down the walls around my heart.
REVIEW:
When you pick up a Lauren Blakely book you are almost garanteed to feel it sizzling in your hands as it will be filled with sexual tension one way or another. This book is no difference, this story is hot and not even because the percentage of sexual action as wel because of the shimmering tension between the two main characters Gunner and Rafe.
I personally loved the tension between these two man. Both man are sexy, exciting and interesting.
Gunter is just wonderful teasing and you just love his dedication to his sport and his family. Rafe is like the smoldering serious type, a higly succesful businessman with secrets to share but so much inside that you want to peel away his layers.
His dedication to his compagny but also his employees is outstanding and I loved to read the conversations between them.
The building of the sexual tension is nicely built but as a reader I noticed that I really wanted a bit more pacing in there.
I loved the flirting between Gunter and Rafe the texting the meetings and how their involvement went from just lust to love in the end.
Strangely enough as I love a good epilogue to a story I didn’t really need this epilogue.
What I liked most was how their relationship came to work out and strangely enough for me I didn’t even need the extra erotica dropped into the mix. What I did enjoy very much though was the extended epilogue you could require at the end of the story.
