BLURB:
Archer knows he doesn’t belong in the human world. So he sticks to his cabin in the mountains outside of Flagstaff for the most part and lives the life of a solitary dragon. Except there’s this gorgeous man named Holt who pulls him down to town more often than he’d like…
Holt has no idea what Archer has done to him, but he’s going to hunt the guy down on his mountain and find out. He’s gaining weight even as he feels sick as a dog, and he wants to make sure this isn’t contagious.
Archer can’t believe he didn’t know Holt had dragon blood in him, but it’s pretty obvious now that Holt is carrying his baby. Can he convince Holt that he doesn’t want to be solitary anymore?
This title was previously a Your Book Boyfriend’s Boyfriend novella.
REVIEW:
Dragons and mpreg…a delightful combo in a fun novella.
Holt has no idea what’s happening to him but he just knows he has to get to Archer. He can’t stop itching and his constant nausea is concerning. As is the fact that he’s bloated even though he can’t keep anything down. Archer is very concerned that he can’t get hold of Holt and they missed meeting up last weekend. Plus the fact that he’s a very private and solitary dragon but can’t get Holt out of his system. When Holt suddenly appears at his door he’s both thrilled and concerned. And are those scales he sees shimmering on his favorite human?
I love how both men worked their way through this book with love and trust. Holt in that he completely trusted Archer to take care of him and help him. And Archer diving deep to figure out what was wrong with the man he had grown obsessed with. It was kind of liking watching a lightbulb glow brighter as he started figuring out what he thought he should have realized earlier. But with him being left by his moms so young he didn’t have a lot of knowledge about other dragons. Especially latent blooming dragons. I loved that he figured out that Holt was his true mate and the pieces started falling into place. And the love between these two was so special.
Stormy was a special plus to this book. A bit mysterious and a lot magical. I hope that we get to see him again in future books. I loved how he was just there for both Holt and Archer. Not just storming in and taking control but there to teach and help when needed and then gone as soon as he wasn’t needed any longer. I especially loved that he was looking out for Holt to make sure he was safe with Archer.
This was a fun, quick read and a great introduction to this universe for me. I look forward to reading more of it.
