Despite being a famous womaniser, Charles has always had an eye for an attractive male. This time it’s different—Luis has the most profound effect on him. Being sober changes everything.
But in Formula One, teammates are also rivals and Luis’ contract is up for renewal. Only the number one podium will do.
Bitter rivalry and animal lust are an explosive combination. Will this get them both to the chequered flag?
REVIEW:
Charles Worthington is a Formula One driver who has finally addressed his issue with alcohol – after he spectacularly and publicly crashed. He’s on the straight and narrow and he’s got a contract with a new sponsor. There’s just one fly in the ointment. They have the superstar with model looks and out and proud driver, Luis Salvatore. He is younger than Charles and it on the rise. Will they be rivals or friends?
Things start off well and Charles feels like things are going good. Then things go off the rails. There are definitely some folks who are not fans of Charles and his brother Will, who has been his support his whole career is not onboard. Luis’s bestie Paulo is also not supportive of either Charles or their friendship. But their chemistry is too much to overcome 😉 And Will and Paulo are left to figure out their own paths.
Eventually Charles and Luis have a lot of ups and downs. Between the stress of the races, interference from family and friends, they have some pretty serious things to overcome. In the end, the support they do have helps them get to their happy ending 🙂
This is quite the sexy read! Charles and Luis are simply fire together. Charles is struggling a bit with his recovery and trying to make a comeback. Trying to manage the team owners, his rather loose cannon brother, his PR person, his therapist and his full top lust for Luis gives him way more than a full plate. Some of the tricks pulled on him were pretty underhanded, but he manages his way through them. There are some real conflicts between him and Luis – but some of them are manufactured by the interference of others. I really loved their push/pull relationship at the beginning and then their chemistry ignited and it was clear that they needed to be together. I adored Charles’ PR person who called it like she saw it and was one tough cookie.
Charles and Luis come from completely different backgrounds. But they find common ground and genuinely care for each other. Their closest supporters aren’t fans of their relationship and cause issues for them 🙁 But luckily others are ready to support Charles and Luis together, but not without some struggles. I thought the way their relationship evolved was very well written and I was invested from the first page. Highly recommended and I cannot wait for the next book! This is an exciting series and I’m here for it.
