Strom Front, Book 1
In a remote village, a man named Azaiah goes wreathed in flowers and smiling to the sacrificial altar, willing to die to keep his village safe from plague. But the Harvester has something else in store for Azaiah, and it isn’t the shores of the world beyond that await him…but the cloak and scythe itself. Being Death means a long life that nevertheless requires a connection to humanity, and Azaiah learns that corruption awaits those who do not find a mortal companion to keep them tethered to the world. He finds it in Nyx, a soldier from an ancient empire and an adopted son of the Emperor, whose soul burns bright enough that Azaiah is certain immortality won’t be a burden but a gift.
But then a shocking betrayal changes Nyx from a gruff soldier with a kind heart to a man bent on vengeance, swearing fealty not to Azaiah, but his sibling, Ares. With Nyx set on destroying the empire that was once his home, Azaiah is dangerously close to losing himself to the corruption that threatens those who lose their tether to the mortal world.
Nyx once loved the Empire and the family that took him in, but when the perfidy of his adopted brother results in a tragedy beyond his ability to bear, Nyx wants nothing more than to burn the world in his wake. Turning from the quiet, intriguing Azaiah toward the promise of bloody vengeance, Nyx gives his vows to Ares and watches the empire he once served fall into ruin. But as the years pass, vengeance is a cold comfort, and the man who is now called Glaive is determined to save Azaiah from being lost in the dark.
STORMFRONT is the first book in the IMMORTALS DESCENDING series, featuring gods in search of their eternal companions.

Shadowfall
Book 2 is coming on January 24th
It is said the demon in the well will give you your heart’s desire…for a price.
When Declan’s prince and best friend, Arwyn, goes seeking the demon for himself, he surprises Declan by leaping into the demon’s well. But when Declan pulls him out, it isn’t Arwyn he rescued, but a demon wearing his skin. No one believes Declan that Arwyn’s soul has been corrupted by the shadow in the well, and with Arwyn taking up arms against the king’s fleet by becoming a pirate, all that matters is stopping him.
When Arwyn offers him a terrible bargain, Declan agrees, hoping it will finally give him the truth about what happened to his prince…and a chance to find the man he’d loved since childhood.
But Arwyn isn’t a demon. He’s a god, and he is very, very good at knowing what people really want. He is convinced that for Declan, it isn’t the prince who went into the water that has captivated him…but the shadow that came out of it.

They spotted them nearly half an hour later: dark blue sails on black masts, cleaving through the storm. Only Arwyn would use the most expensive dye on sails, which constantly needed mending. Declan signaled the Waveborn and landed next to the wheel, letting Magelight catch her breath.
“Get ready, Captain.” Vanora glanced at him, and Declan grinned. “Tonight, we’re taking a frigate.”
“Or we’ll join it beneath the waves,” Vanora said, but Declan was already heading belowdecks.
He came back a minute later, whistling tunelessly. Arwyn was coming. He was close. Declan shook out his arms and adjusted his armor, then checked for Magelight’s chestplate. She hated it and had a nasty habit of twisting it out of place in midair. Once he’d secured it, he petted her until her disgruntled look faded and she started whistling and crooning.
“Let’s catch a demon,” Declan said, climbing into the saddle. He tapped her head, and she took off. She shrieked as they flew toward the Maelstrom, and when thunder boomed in the clouds before them, Declan leaned over her neck and stroked her scales. “Good girl,” he whispered, just as he used to with Stella. “Perhaps you’ll have a friend at the end of this.”
His heartbeat was hammering in his ears as they approached the Maelstrom. They were close enough to see the sailors rushing over the deck, and Declan smiled grimly to himself as he wrapped a small bag onto a sturdy arrow. It hung awkwardly, but it held, and Declan whistled to Magelight, urging her to fly so close to the sails that Declan could see sailors clinging to the rigging, caught between Declan and the oncoming storm.
And there was Arwyn.
Arwyn, the demon, the sick creature wearing Declan’s best friend’s form like he had any right to it. The shadow that teased Declan with sarcastic pet names at night, the thing that clicked his tongue when Declan was beaten by the captain for not following Arwyn’s orders or behaving as a proper retainer should.
He aimed the arrow straight down. It landed not three feet from Arwyn, who looked up at Declan as the bag burst, scattering blank coins over the deck. His pale hair blew in his beautiful, stolen face, and his gaze followed Declan as Magelight wove between the masts.
“Demon,” Declan shouted, “I have a wish! Do you want to know what it is?”
Arwyn didn’t answer. His face looked hungry. Inhuman. Horrible. Declan’s chest constricted at the sight of it. How dare he? How dare he stand there in Arwyn’s body, looking beautiful as a siren while the thing beneath spread its rot through his bones?
Declan raised his voice. “Sailors of the Maelstrom! I have need only of your captain. Leave him for me, and I will grant you pardons on behalf of the king. The thing that calls itself Arwyn is for me alone.”
