Welcome to the Love Bytes Reviewers’ Best of 2022
Another year has passed in which books have brought all of us a much needed escape and sense of comfort. Our Love Bytes team reviewed approximately 1,300 LGBTQ+ books in 2022, from contemporary romance to fantasy, paranormal, historical, adventure, mystery, comedy and everything in between. Each day for the next few weeks, we will feature one of our reviewers’ top picks from books and audiobooks published in 2022. These lists highlight how diverse our tastes in reading are, and offer something for everyone. With thousands of fantastic new books each year, written by hundreds of creative and talented authors, it’s so difficult to narrow our lists down. We all have many favorite authors not featured here and wish we could acknowledge them all.
Danielle’s 2022 Favorites
There it is, the final one as in tradition it is mine (Dani 🙂 )
So many amazing books I had the pleasure of reading this past year and still I have a huge list that I wish I could have read 🙂
So in random order here are my top 10 (sortisch hihi, hey did you expect differently 😉 )
Music Man by Aries France
One of my absolute top reads of the year.
This whole series is amazing as it is but finally having Baylor’s story and what a story.
Wow all the feels and more.
I love these men, their partners, their family in everything but blood, the bonding between the brothers but also the significant others.
I could give it more then 5 stars I would.
The Foster Brothers by Nora Phoenix
Nora Phoenix at her best for me with this series, It has everything in it why I am a huge fan of her work.
They’re brothers in all but blood, have their own stories to tell and yet they are bonded through it all including their chosen partners. Yet another fantastic series by this author.
Miami Piranhas by Beth Bolden
Another author, another series 😊 If you love sports, football, and sexy men this is your series. When I started the first book in this series, I realized I needed to catch up so I first went through the former books to get to this series and let me tell you they only get better. Beth Bolden knocks it out of the park with this series.
Mad Man/Head Case (Necessary Evil) by Onley James
What can I say about this series, I mean it all would be to simple, I think to subjective. This series I can seriously say is one of the best out there. It is heavy, gross at times, intense beyond belief but ooh ooh so freaking good. This will always be on my top read if a book in this series is being released.
Playing Games by Riley Hart
I can honestly say this is the book that absolutely blew me away this year. I am a fan of the author’s work but obviously there are always books that stand out, in this case Playing Games has it all.
Quoted from my review on GR: Absolutely fabulous, I think one of the best books I have read in a long time, this will definitely be on my best of 2022. Riley hart at her best.
Highly highly recommended!
Hostile by Nicole Dykes
Seriously one of the best reads of the year for me!
I loved this book from top to bottom up to the point that I didn’t want to quit reading (deep in the night)
Author Nicole Dykes is becoming one of my favorite authors and an auto buy. This book has it all
Crew by Jaime Luther
I cannot say exactly why I liked this book as much as I did, I just know I picked it by coincidence and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am still very much looking forward to the rest of the contracting team’s books. I hope they will come.
Mike Bravo Ops: Rogue ( and Iris) by Eden Finley
I love this series so much.
I love the friendship of the men (and woman) in this team and how the author connects them all together.
I re read Iris and Saint’s story before diving into this one and enjoyed myself so much.
I absolutely love the fact that the author connects the books having all the men in the books and I loved reconnecting with Iris and Saint as much as I loved Trav and Rogue’s story.
I cannot wait for the other men to have their own HEA.
And I am so grateful to the author for writing this series the way she does and not having them written as standalones.
Catalyst by Aurora Crane
A surprising one for sure, an MMMM by a new to me author.
I absolutely loved this book. And it made me read the holiday books by this author also.
I cannot wait for more and to see what else is brewing with all the characters mentioned, main and side characters that is.
Very interesting, very sexy and captivating!
Saint’s Song by Garrett Leigh
This is the second book in the Rebel Kings series but you cannot read it without reading the first book (Devil’s Dance)
What started in book 1 is finished and so much more in this second book.
And even more so I am glad Garrett Leigh is continuing this series. There is so much to explore in this world.
A mention for two other books I read that would have deserved a place, it is so hard to make choices sometimes 😊
The first one from very early in 2022, a book I anticipated for quite some time
Finally Theo and Henry get their story, so worth it!
The second is: The Shutout by Dianna Roman
A book you need to have read imho.
