Rogue can charm the pants off anyone, but can he catch a man who might as well be a ghost?
Eight seconds on a bull was never as scary as falling for a man who might disappear any second. I might have left the rodeo to work my brother’s ranch, but I never lost my taste for danger… and I’ve never met anyone more dangerous than Special Agent Ghost.
My overprotective brothers warned me away from him, but I’ve never been one to take good advice. When Ghost and I came together, it was explosive… and also healing.
We both have secrets, and neither of us ever thought we’d find comfort like we have in each other’s arms, but he doesn’t know how to stick around, and I’ve never learned how to let someone love me.
Unsure how long the fire between us will burn, we keep our relationship hidden until the day when an enemy’s bullet shatters the hidden world we’ve created. Now we’ll both have to make a choice: to keep hiding our true selves or put our cards on the table and fight for the future we want… together.
REVIEW:
Paradise Ranch runs a successful breeding program, but it’s also a safe house, for outlaws.
In the first two books, we understand Grant and his two brothers Rhys and Rogue run a Ranch slash safehouse. The first book was about Grant and his lover Jacob, the second was about Rhys and TJ, and this one is about Rogue and Ghost.
Years back, when Grant and Rhys escaped their cruel father by joining the Marines, Rogue escaped and entered the world of bull riding. Now they are together again.
When Ghost, a former Marine, is on a mission and has to contact Grant, his eyes are on Rogue. The man is gorgeous.
Secretly, because Grant and Rhys can never know, they meet and have a super hot one-night. The bodily connection is already strong and now they are also emotionally getting stronger, they share things no one knows. Until a bullet from the enemy hits and Ghost does what he’s best at, vanishing like a ghost.
Rough, tough men, who at all costs protect the ones they love. Hot encounters, caveman attitude, and action are what you can expect. Emotions are mostly at bay until the heart gets involved. Rogue and Ghost are lovable, and of course, we meet the other overprotective brothers and their partners again. The installments are seamlessly connected and get more pleasurable because the characters are getting familiar. The writing is consistent throughout the whole series.
I enjoyed this one, it’s not too complicated, you can sit, read and enjoy the ride, without breaking your head or heart too much.
