The sight of River restrained by my tentacles and entirely vulnerable to me is as erotic as it is humbling. That he trusts me not to hurt him, to give him pleasure like this, makes me want to help him achieve as much satisfaction as I can.
River’s no delicate flower. He likes to be fucked and fucked hard, but I still ask him to make sure. “Do you want it hard?”
His eyes flare as rivulets of water run down his body. “Fuck yeah! Take me to pound town, baby. Give me all you’ve got.”

I pull out nearly all the way before slamming back into him, unerringly hitting the same spot again.
River’s eyes roll back in his head, and he lets out a high, thin wail.
I pick up my pace and begin to rut into him with far less finesse, my own orgasm cresting. This man makes me lose control like no other. With my free hand, I jerk him in time with my thrusts, and that’s what sends him over the edge.
His hot channel squeezes unimaginably tight around me, and with one more thrust I cry out, filling him with my spunk.
Mine. My mate, my mind chants.
My tentacles undulate in agreement.
Carefully, I lower River and take him into my arms. He’s a little shaky on his feet, so my tentacles seek to reassure him, petting him and massaging his back.
I look into his dazed eyes, feeling a twinge of worry. He hasn’t said anything yet.
“River? Are you okay? I wasn’t too rough, was I?”
He seems to shake off his daze and slowly grins at me. “You fucked me speechless. That’s never happened to me before.”
I let out a startled but relieved laugh. “You had me freaking out there for a moment.”
“You think you were worried? I can’t remember the last time I was unable to speak for a full minute.” He shakes his head in awe.
I pull him into a firm embrace, feeling so much rightness and belonging when he’s in my arms that I’m full to bursting. It’s like I have so many feelings for this man that my body cannot physically contain them all and they threaten to break free in a wild deluge.
“I love you,” I murmur against the shell of his ear, my hearts pounding like a Luxad ship engine preparing to go into hyperdrive.
He shivers and turns to face me, his green eyes clear and vibrant. “I love you too.” He reaches out and strokes one of the tentacles still petting him reassuringly. I shiver at the tender touch. “I love everything about you,” he adds, his expression serious.
I swallow back the lump in my throat, overwhelmed with gratitude for the universe bringing River Sullivan into my life. What I cannot say in words, I tell him with my touch under the water’s spray.
We stay in the shower until the water runs cold.
