Trey Winters had always been a user. So arrogant and self-centered. Being co-owner of eliXXir, one of the highest profile clubs in Hell’s Kitchen meant he never failed to attract the hottest men around and toss them aside after one encounter. Trey had a life most would envy. One he reveled in, until a mystery man crossed his path one Valentine’s Day, complicating matters both in and outside the bedroom.
He didn’t want to want him.
Didn’t want to need him.
But fate, it would seem, had other ideas.
Noah Middleton craved to express himself the only way he knew how. Reach his full potential, chronic illness be damned. Accepting a place at a prestigious New York dance academy might have made his goal so close he could taste it, but after admitting to his best friend he’d been unable to stop thinking about the beautiful stranger he’d met on his last visit, said friend took it upon himself to play Cupid.
The man was irresistible.
A temptation like no other.
And for Noah, that was the scariest part of all.
REVIEW:
Trey, co-owner of club eliXXir, doesn’t do relationships, a quick one in the back without returning the favor, is more his thing.
The longer he acts like it the more acceptable it feels. He’s the experience expert how relationships can hurt.
One night, at the masquerade event at the club, his eyes fall on a beautiful graceful dancing guy, a new target.
Noah is a dancer, and a good one. He starts a new chapter of his life, he’ll take his diabetes with him, but that’s something he can live with. A new town, a new start at the New York dance academy. For now, he’ll stay with his best friend Justin.
They have a night out at a club, and that’s where he meets Trey. They have a quick one, only it’s different, he can’t forget this guy.
So, both men are attracted to each other, but also won’t start anything permanent.
At some point, it gets quite complicated. They even try to avoid each other.
Only, Justin is the partner of Wes, who’s co-owner of… yes eliXXir, and they know the real Trey and the real Noah.
Complicated is an understatement. Watch them, denying what’s in front of them.
Justin and Wes annoyed me at some point, why interfere? Let Noah and Trey solve it together.
It’s even so that the only initiative taken was after their friends interfere.
A nicely written story, with a bunch of (supportive) meddling people, the pining and hurt were palpable, the plot was good and plausible.
I would have loved some communication without other people involved. The sexiness was hot and well put together. The development was slightly done.
The epilogue was a bit stuffed, it rounded up every loose end. They certainly have their happy end!
