Vacations don’t have to end.
Honey-sweet human omega Alfie thought he was only back in his hometown for a short summer vacation. After all these years, there’s no way his wolf shifter mate Drew is still in Crescent Cove. And no way is he still surfer-boy hot, swoony-romantic, and makes Alfie feel like… he’s home. Uh, yep… Drew is still everything Alfie has every wanted in an alpha.
Wolf shifter Drew has been broken since his fated mate left, and the only way to survive was to drown out his pain by surfing, working, repeat. Not the vibrant life he and Alfie had dreamed of. When the omega returns, Drew doesn’t miss a beat to remind Alfie of their high-voltage dynamic, the allure of the wolf pack, and why the human should move back to Crescent Cove. Why not claim their ideal life? Sun, surf, and a whole pack of pups.
But reality hits when Alfie’s vacation is cut short and distance threatens to tear them apart again. Drew can’t stand another heartbreak and neither can his wolf, but the omega has to leave Crescent Cove. Or does he? What will it take for Alfie to reclaim his hometown and choose his fated mate?
His Omega Returns is a wolf shifter omegaverse novella set in Crescent Cove, a beachy town with incredible surf and the world’s best fried pickles. This short novella contains a sweet and steamy second-chance romance, refreshing dips in the ocean, a close-knit pack that lives in harmony with local humans, and a guaranteed HEA.
REVIEW:
I love Dylan Reece’s wolf shifters and now to realize there is a brand-new series is a huge plus!
Alfie is finally taking a long overdue vacation with his friends back to his childhood hometown. A trip he has avoided every since he left for college and left him behind. But Drew can’t possibly still be living in Crescent Cove. His dreams were to take off and explore the country on a long road trip. So imagine Alfie’s surprise that his Alpha wolf shifter is still in town working on the place he rented! All Drew ever wanted was to claim Alfie, his fated mate. But Marcus, his pack alpha and father figure to Drew, denied it. They hadn’t come of age and it simply wasn’t allowed so Drew became withdrawn and surly while Alfie went off to college. But both men never stopped their longing for the other over the years they were separated. And now that Alfie was back Drew’s wolf isn’t letting his mate get away again! Period! End of discussion!!!
This was a fast paced introduction to the Crescent Cove Pack and a sweet second chance love story of two fated mates. I always love the one that got away stories where the reuniting is so poignant and strong. And this book didn’t disappoint at all. Drew and Alfie were fated mates and they knew it at a tender young age but life needed to happen so that they could appreciate what they had given up and what they needed to do to make their lives right. There was never any doubt that these two loved each other and no one could ever replace the other. They just had to figure out how, now that they were reunited, they were going to make it work. And Drew was going to make that happen come hell or high water. I loved that he was all alpha and knew that he had to be with Alfie even if he had to give up everything that was important to him because Alfie was even more important! And when those boys finally got on the same page…just wow!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series. It sounds like Marcus may have finally found his mate and this is sure to be a doozy because Alfie’s bestie Liam is a spit fire and Marcus is going to have his hands full with that one. And I can’t wait to see Liam’s face when he discovers that there are wolf shifters and he’s a fated mate to their pack leader/alpha. It can’t get here fast enough!!!
