REVIEW:
A visit back to Raleigh and the Lonely Boys Club.
Elden Angel is heading back to his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina for the holidays with his family. Being a book translator for a publishing company is a great job with his impressive language skills however life is pretty lonely living in New York City all alone. It’s also very expensive. So he hasn’t met a lot of friends and definitely no time for his heart’s desire…a boy of his own to cuddle and spoil. It makes his daddy heart long for what he needs. On a whim Elden writes a quick letter to Santa asking for his Christmas Wish. Tanner Christmas works for his bestie Melody at her plant nursery. Plants he can take care of, himself not so much. Tan is also so accident prone that Melody has first aid kits placed strategically all around the facility to clean and bandage him up during his numerous accidents. After his latest fall he is charged with thanking her son Lyre, is nephew, to see Santa at the community center. Lyre takes it upon himself to ask Santa “Could you maybe bring Uncle Tan his one true love so he won’t be alone anymore?” Tan is dying of embarrassment but Santa “Elden”, who got hooked into filling in as Santa in an emergency, sees this as a great opportunity to meet what he suspects is a cutie that is a little which is a win/win in his thoughts. When it is obvious that the two men are what the other has been wanting, and their chemistry is explosive, it seems that Santa may have actually granted them their wishes. But how can this work when Little Tanner lives and works in Raleigh and Daddy Elden lives and works in NYC? Or does Santa have one more wish he can help with???
This was a whirlwind romance that had these two in a committed relationship faster than you can make and bake a batch of yummy Christmas cookies and almost as sugary sweet you might just get a tooth ache! Both men fit the others desires to a T. Tan needs someone to look out for him now that he’s all alone and remind him to slow down and take care of what he needs to do to survive. Elden needs a boy that he can cuddle and care for to tame his daddy urges that rule his being. He is a natural caregiver at heart and the perfect Daddy to Tan’s little.
I have no idea why Elden’s sister Holly was so mean and cruel to Tan. I don’t know if there is a past history or it’s just stupid sibling jealousy that she expected Elden to be at her beck and call during his visit. I know that the men developed into a boyfriend relationship at warp speed and the living logistics were still completely up in the air so that might have raised her hackles. Also introducing him to her twin daughter’s so quickly like he is a permanent fixture might have set her off. But she could have been a bit more gracious and act like an adult in front of her impressionable daughters. I thought there was enough angst on the living situation and short time line that that it didn’t need to be added.
If you are looking for a fun and sweet Little Christmas book that will leave you with a smile on your face and filled with Christmas joy then this will sure to please.
