REVIEW:
Oh my goodness gracious could this have been more precious? This was the perfect Christmas treat!
Mabry “May” Caldor isn’t having a great senior year Texas A&M. He’s recovering from the knee surgery he had over the summer and taking the year off from being the school’s basketball star to heal. He chose to be an RA in the dorms instead of rooming with his teammates. But when he can’t get the internet to work he his friend shows up with a freshman to help make it work in return for being the designated driver to the frat parties. When the cutie, who turns out to have just turned 17 and is some kind of genius, gets drunk he gets him home and tucked in his bed. But the next morning his world blows up when he is suddenly not only not enrolled in school but his scholarship he depends on disappeared from the school’s computer system and May knows just who the devious culprit is…Jimmy Lewis, the computer genius he trusted and looked forward to becoming friends with! Boy oh boy was that a mistake!
I fell head over heals with both men. Yes Jimmy had made life miserable for May that year but he was all grown up and now and “JJ” was trying his hardest to make amends. Even reaching out to his mother who would cost him dearly. My heart went out to the poor little rich boy that neither of his parents wanted and he was just a nuisance in their eyes. How could they treat such a treasure so coldly was beyond me. At least his mother helped May’s father and that was something.
I did love that Jimmy not only still crushed over May for 10 years but held himself pure for the man that held his heart. He was the perfect partner for May who had been raked across the coals by his money hungry ex. Plus Jimmy was the perfect mate for May just like May’s parents were the best example of what loving partners should be like. I loved that May’s Mom chose to love Jimmy as her’s when she realized how important he was to her son. And Jimmy would do anything in his power to make May and his parents happy.
This was the perfect Christmas pick-me-up to snuggle into on a cold winter’s night to warm your heart. So curl up in front of a nice fire and get read to have your heart filled with joy, laughter and love.
