For David Jordan life is close to perfect.
His band, Embrace the Fear, is living the rock ‘n roll dream as an up-and-coming group under Masterson Management. They aren’t rolling in dough like their mentors from Social and Maiden, but things are good.
David grew up in a middle-class family. Both his parents worked and supported him and his sisters in every way. To this day, they are still in love with each other.
The one thing missing from David’s life is the same kind of connection his parents had.
But David’s desires are a bit unorthodox and not always welcome with guys his age. Would an older man look past the number and trust David to care for them—body and soul?
Jordan Wright has a thriving business thanks to being awarded the contract to manage the catering for Rocktoberfest for a second year.
He’s thrilled to be back at the venue again—maybe this is the year something special will happen, although he’s not counting on it.
Since Jordan’s last failed attempt at a relationship, he’s sworn only to engage in meaningless hook-ups.
Will he ever be able to open his mind and his heart again? Enough to trust another man, not only with his body but to catch him when he falls?
David’s Disaster is part of the multi-author The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all and see who hits the stage next? Hot rockstars and the men who love them, what more could you ask for? Kick back, load up your kindle and enjoy the men of Rocktoberfest!
REVIEW:
I couldn’t wait to get this book! A year is a long time to wait to find out about David and Jordan getting caught in Rhône and Eli’s laundry room. But boy oh boy was it worth the wait! **fans myself**
Jordan Wright is Eli’s boss, and now partner, that we met in Rhone’s Rebel, the first book in the Embrace the Fear band’s stories. I was shocked when he was found with the band’s bass player by Rhone at the end of Eli’s graduation party. I hadn’t seen that coming. First, Jordan is older by about eight years and David seemed so rambunctious. David had tried to move on but can’t keep the man out of his brain every since that night he called him “daddy”! But how can he build something when Jordan is doing everything possible to avoid him at all costs?
I will admit I seriously questioned TL’s choice putting these two together but boy oh boy did it work when they finally got out of their heads and allowed it to happen. Jordan didn’t appear to be a typical “boy” but when you discovered his backstory it made perfect sense. Over-worked, at his own choice, man that had a horrific childhood. Hearing how Lyle took him in and nurtured him was a especially poignant and touching part of the story. And his influence greatly changed and affected how Jordan grew and bloomed. Plus how he decided to proceed in his life and the choices he made to help the homeless LGBTQIA+ youth in the Las Vegas area.
I don’t know what it is with TL and her hurting the boys I fall for but this one was a doozy. Thankful that’s finally behind them so Jordan can finally completely move on in life. The confession that Tony imparted while holding Jordan captive was enlightening. And David helping get Jordan the therapist just was another ✔️ in the Daddy box. He really does love Jordan and his family even knew that. And he really is a very caring and nurturing Daddy.
I loved how David’s family embraced Jordan and made him part of their own. That young man deeply needed that having never experienced a love of a true mom. And now he’s an intricate part of a true family that accept him with his daddy. They were just what he needed.
It was a true treat to get to see cameos from both Social Sinners and Maiden Voyage. I highly recommend both those series and they are now available in box sets. I will say that you really, really should read book one, Rhône’s Rebel, in this series. This book picks up immediately in the last scene in Rhone and Eli’s laundry room and takes off on a run.
I also loved how most of the authors on this series interconnected their books so that you see cameos of main chapters in other books and expand upon their scenes they created. I recommend this entire journey to Rocktoberfest this year and hope that you enjoy it as much as I have. 💕🎶
