It’s taken years for Dawson’s band, AudioLock, to finally ‘make it’. Okay, maybe they hadn’t made it yet but they were invited to perform on the big stage at Rocktoberfest. Driving the beat of the band warmed his soul but Dawson really wished there was someone to warm his heart and bed.
Ben Williams’ passion for music and theater is all-encompassing but he doesn’t have a talented bone in his body. However, he does have the mind and personality to manage everything that happens when the curtain goes up. His ultimate goal of being a stage manager for a major rock band is in sight. He didn’t think anything could change his focus until a certain drummer appeared on Ben’s stage.
Dreams within reach, are Ben and Dawson willing to change so they can sync rhythms together?
Syncing Rhythms is part of the multi-author The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all and see who hits the stage next? Hot rockstars and the men who love them, what more could you ask for? Kick back, load up your kindle and enjoy the men of Rocktoberfest!
REVIEW:
I love multi-author series for just this reason. You discover new authors that you just click with and become their fan.
Roderick Dawson, aka Dawson, and his bandmates Nate, Chris and Xavier “X” have been best friends since they were young. They work jobs they have to to support themselves and to help support their passion of playing in their band AudioLock. When a huge break comes and they are asked to be one of the opening bands at Rocktoberfest they are finally on the big stage. When Dawson meets The Diamond Masterson-Taylor, from the mega group Social Sinners and his husband and Easton Masterson-Taylor from Masterson Management, and finds out they recommended AudioLock to play in Rocktoberfest he and his band are floored. When the sexy head guy Ben Williams, that is in charge of coordinating the stage for the venue, flirts with him and suggests they meet up things are really looking up. Then, when they are a huge success for their set, they get a chance to chase their dreams. But can the two men that just met make something out of the sparks that fly while on different rock tours or is there no chance to sync their rhythm together?
I loved both Dawson and Ben. They just clicked for me and you needed them to work out. And who wouldn’t love Ben. He was so caring and concerned for both his dad and best friend along with worrying about dumping too much on his sister. I just worried he put too much upon himself but having Dawson’s love would help hold him together.
I guess both Kris Jacen and I are huge fans of TL Travis and her Rock Stars. I loved the opportunity to get to catch up with Diamond for a moment and watching Easton work his magic again was a major treat. But what I love the most is that Kris captured the essence of Easton and had him help Ben to figure out what he truly wanted and how to chase his dreams. That was Easton in a nutshell, caring and making things happen the right way. I love when authors, in series like this, coordinate and help each other out. It made this book even more real for me.
I can’t believe this is her first rock star book and I sincerely hope this won’t be the last. I love the universe that she created and hope we will get to see these guys again. I know at least X is bi and hope we not only get his book but get more about Ben and Dawson. This could easily be a great start to a whole new series and genre for this very gifted author. Huge thumbs up for me!
