Chapter 2: Bianco the White Rabbit

 

With his fair blond hair, wide blue eyes, and well-tailored suit, he was as beautiful as the prophecy had promised. I took deliberate steps toward him, backing him up until he bumped against a bookcase. I pinned him in place with an arm over his shoulder on the shelf behind him, allowing his hard length to press against me. My hand trembled as I caressed his soft cheek. “I’ve waited such a long time to find you, Alice.”

His eyebrows wrinkled with annoyance. “It’s Alistair Hargreaves.”

So that was his name now. “How fitting.” I’d have to be careful not to call him Alice in the future. Thankfully, after spending so many years searching for him, he didn’t disappoint. Although Alice wasn’t mine, his intoxicating arousal called to my white rabbit heritage and begged me to satisfy him. I stroked his delicate cheekbone with my thumb. “You’re even more beautiful than I had dared dream.”

“Who are you?”

I was the private secretary and chief mage to the King of Hearts. The important task of finding Wonderland’s long-lost Alice had been entrusted to me. But those were details that would have to wait for later. “You may call me Bianco.”

When he wetted his lips while looking up at me with desire in his blue eyes, it broke my self-restraint. With his arousal clouding my senses, I caved to my beast’s instincts as I promised myself it would only be one kiss. I leaned down and brushed my lips against his. The magic of Alice sparked under its restraining bonds when he kissed me back with passion. He was so soft and pliant under me as he let my tongue tease him into a frenzied need. The scrape of his nails against my scalp as he ran his fingers through my long hair was almost enough to unleash my beast.

My good intentions to only give him one kiss were put in peril when he rocked his erection against mine. Everything inside me begged to satisfy his needs, to care for Alice the way he deserved, and unify our magic by binding him to me forever. If I didn’t regain control, I would take things too far. As much as I didn’t want to, I forced distance between us.

He looked up at me with blue eyes darkened with lust. “Why did you stop?”

I traced his lower lip with my thumb as I fought my instincts to lay claim to him and his magic. “Because I won’t be able to make myself stop if we continue any further.”

He ran his hands up my chest to rest on my shoulders, looking up at me through lowered lashes. “What if I want you to keep going?”

It was almost impossible to resist him. My sense of duty warred with my desires. But Alistair’s pheromones clouded my senses, making it a serious challenge to do what I must. I trailed my nose along the curve of his neck as I breathed him in deep, letting my tongue dart out to taste his sweetness. It filled my veins with fire as my beast begged me to take what was so willingly being offered. My voice came out in a dark rumble. “You are far too tempting to ask such questions.”

“Please, Bianco.” He took my hand and cupped it around his hardness. “I don’t want to go back out there like this. And didn’t you promise me an adventure?”
