REVIEW:
That was an eventful read. I love this series, the stories are smoothly connected and seamlessly run into the next. After I’d finished this one I so wanted to read Alessandro’s story!
Matty is a dedicated cop, not aware he’s been followed, not aware there’s a price on his head.
Finn Acierno is a PI and following Matty’s steps, he’s more and more convinced Matty is been framed.
Matty’s father’s been killed, long ago, by the Acierno Family, the family is convinced Matty is the one who’s responsible for Paolo’s kidnapping.
Watching Matty, Finn can only find a sweet insecure boy who needs a Daddy. After following him into a club for Daddies and boys, Finn a Daddy himself connects with Matty, and oh boy do they fit.
In no time there’s a threat on Matty’s life and finding a safe house is necessary. Matty is suspicious because the safe house belongs to the Acierno family.
The plot is greatly done, with a nice balance between sweetness, angst, and revelations.
We meet the boys and possessive Daddies from the previous stories, even as somewhat playing the side characters they are still the main characters of the series.
Finn is a sweet caring Daddy, a bit less forceful than Tiger and Leon, but still a Daddy with only eyes for the well-being of his boy. Matty is a mix of an independent cop and a boy who needs his time to give over the reins.
Overall a wonderfully written story, quite entertaining, with an intriguing plot, with on one hand suspense and on the other Daddy/boy quality time. The journey of the Acierno family is not over, yet. Give me Alessandro’s story!!
