It’s taken years for Dawson’s band, AudioLock, to finally ‘make it’. Okay, maybe they hadn’t made it yet but they were invited to perform on the big stage at Rocktoberfest. Driving the beat of the band warmed his soul but Dawson really wished there was someone to warm his heart and bed.
Ben Williams’ passion for music and theater is all-encompassing but he doesn’t have a talented bone in his body. However, he does have the mind and personality to manage everything that happens when the curtain goes up. His ultimate goal of being a stage manager for a major rock band is in sight. He didn’t think anything could change his focus until a certain drummer appeared on Ben’s stage.
Dreams within reach, are Ben and Dawson willing to change so they can sync rhythms together?
Syncing Rhythms is part of the multi-author The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all and see who hits the stage next? Ben stood in the wings, shocked at AudioLock’s performance. Later tonight, he’d been in the booth calling the effects for Social Sinners performance but right now he was coordinating the transitions between the opening acts.
He’d seen a lot of bands. Christ, this weekend alone the talent was off the charts. Something about AudioLock caught and held his attention and he wasn’t thinking of the drummer’s ass as he thought that. They had a sound that reverberated in Ben’s core.
He shook his attention from Dawson’s ass as he bowed and looked at his ever-present clipboard. Ben pressed the button on his Bluetooth. “Okay, let’s make this transition a smooth one. Tony, get things ready to slide to stage left. Randy, up right should be set for the next…” Ben trailed off as he felt a hand on his waist.
“Hey you,” Dawson murmured as he dropped his mouth to Ben’s neck and bit. Holy fuck! Ben got lightheaded as all the blood in his body went to his cock. So not the time for this but they would be revisiting Dawson biting.
Blowing out a breath, Ben tried to glare at Dawson. He knew he wasn’t successful when Dawson threw back his head and laughed.
“Sparky, move your ass,” Ted called out from… somewhere.
“We will continue this later,” Ben said as he stepped away from Dawson. He could only groan when the man smiled and backed away.
“Come find me when you’ve got a minute.” Ben watched Dawson walk away, fighting his instinct to grab onto the man and not let go.
What the fuck? This was a hook-up. Not long term. Right?
