Ma decides to teach her a lesson, but Ellie won’t be tamed easy. The full moon is getting closer and closer, and they’re bound by something more powerful than either of them could have expected. Will Ellie learn to surrender? Will she find a way back to New York?
And when the full moon comes, will she be ready for what it brings?
REVIEW:
After losing her girlfriend and her dream home in New York, Eleanor has to move back to Texas, to the small town where she grew up, Fort Paulson. She misses the busy city life she used to have, her bad relationship with her mother doesn’t help the situation, and her rocky start reconciling with her former best friend only adds to the chaos. Things take a turn for the worse when she ends up in a small bar fight. Or is it a turn for the better when it drives her exactly into the arms of Max Thomas, the hot lesbian who she went to school with when she was younger? Max helps Ellie be better prepared for future bar fights, but as the full moon draws near, their sparring sessions become more than just that. Ellie says she wants to get back to New York as quickly as possible, but does she still want that the more time she spends with Max
I loved the story! While it is a short novella, it didn’t feel rushed at all. The author did a great job pacing the story, making the whole process feel natural and loving, as it should. The sex, the vivid descriptions, there’s only one word for that: amazing. The additional light BDSM elements really helped, as it portrayed the need for control that runs through the entire story. The side characters were accurate, they didn’t feel like empty, flat characters simply there to progress the story, they actually had value and I really appreciated that, just as the full circle with the so-called bad guys, that was very satisfying. There were a couple of spelling mistakes, but nothing grave or really distracting from the story. So overall, I am really happy I got to read this story!
