The Sunny Side by Lily Morton
The Model Agency, Book 1
Jonas Durand is successful, rich, and controlled. He owns a prestigious modelling agency and has the world at his fingertips, but a turbulent childhood has taught him to be focused and never deviate from a plan.
Dean Jacobs threatens that stance. He’s one of the world’s most sought-after supermodels, but he’s also laidback and lighthearted and free in a way that Jonas has never quite managed.
Dean has always been interested in Jonas and has never made any secret of his admiration, but from the beginning, Jonas put him in a neat little box labelled, “Don’t touch,” turned the key, and never looked back.
However, the universe seems determined to thwart Jonas’s plans. Over the course of one hot summer, the two men come together, and Jonas’s well-ordered life becomes something a whole lot wilder.
Moving from the glamorous worlds of London and Paris Fashion Weeks to the sleepy South of France, Jonas finds himself liberating partridges, chasing his supermodel, and falling in love.
From bestselling author, Lily Morton, comes a romantic comedy set in the fast-paced and snarky world of modelling. This is the first book in the Model Agency series.

The music is coming from the kitchen, and I throw the door open and storm into the room. “What the hell is going on in here?” I shout.
Dean turns to look at me, and I blink at the sight of him standing at my stove with a tea towel flicked over his shoulder. He’s still half-naked, his jeans hanging from his narrow hips, and he looks like he’s posing for an advert in Harper’s Bazaar, his olive skin glowing in the early morning light.
He presses a button on his phone, and blissful silence falls. I become aware that I’m still staring at him when I hear a polite cough. When I turn, I find Malachi Booth, another of my models, sitting at the table with a malicious smile on his sharp face.
“Good morning, Jonas,” he purrs. “How delightful to see you.”
“The sentiment is not mutual. Why are you here? Don’t you live on a farm in Cornwall now?”
His smile widens. So many people hate sarcasm, but it’s the lifeblood of Mal. He’s one of the most contrary people I’ve ever met.
“Why yes, I do, but even Cadan’s cows cannot provide the entertainment I’m getting today.”
“You must get out more.”
He chuckles, his face creasing into his famous smile. It’s just this side of vicious and has been known to make photographers very nervous. He tosses his chocolate-brown hair back, making the long tresses cascade down his back in a studied move he can’t help. I roll my eyes. Models.
“I’m just so glad I was around to see this,” he says, a wicked light in his eyes.
“I can’t say I feel the same,” I snipe. I blink as Dean comes toward me and guides me into a chair at the table. “I’m not seventy-seven. I can sit down on my own.”
“Well, do it quicker,” he says with his usual sunny smile. “Breakfast is ready.”
Mal leans his elbows on the table and cups his chin in his hand. “Oh my,” he says.
I glare at him. “It is far too early to deal with both of you. Although I’m not sure what hour of the day would be okay for that.”
Dean tuts and pats my shoulder. “Jonas isn’t very good in the morning,” he says to Mal in a reproving voice.
“And I’m absolutely fascinated how you know that,” Mal says promptly.
Dean shakes his head. “You should go easy on him.”
“Thank you,” I say pitifully and then check. “Hang on. I’m not that bad in the morning.” He slides a plate in front of me. “And I also said I don’t want breakfast,” I start to say, and then I inhale the scent of the food. “Oh, that smells lovely.”
I can’t help the astonishment in my voice, and Mal looks even more entertained.
The omelette on my plate is perfectly cooked and glistening with herbs.
“Freshly squeezed,” Dean says, pouring orange juice into a glass. “All the vitamins are still in it. Drink it before you eat though.”
“How did you squeeze oranges? I haven’t got a juicer.”
“Between his thighs,” Mal offers helpfully, and I choke on the mouthful of juice I’ve just taken.
“That would be far too messy,” Dean says seriously, seating himself and pulling his plate towards him. It contains a tiny portion of omelette. “I’d have pith in my pubes.”
