BLURB:
Exhausted, overworked, underpaid, and for damn sure underappreciated.
Struggling to find a balance between the career I’ve always wanted and the desire to have someone to take care of me, I agree to join an exclusive event at The Garden.
A couple of hours to let go with Dean Nash, the Daddy of my dreams, then it’s back to the grind.
As head of security at The Garden, I’m content with my single life.
When my boss calls in a favor, I reluctantly agree, knowing a few hours of play won’t mean anything. Until I lock eyes with an exhausted boy across the room and every instinct calls me to protect the boy from falling asleep on his feet.
Tanner Morgan checks all my boxes, though I’ve sworn no one ever could.
When we’re tossed into each other’s paths weeks after our one night together…
I offer to show Tanner there can be enough space in his life for a part-time Daddy. A caregiver without expectation of a relationship, feelings, or promises he can’t keep.
Falling in love isn’t part of the agreement, no matter how perfectly we fit together.
REVIEW:
It’s strange how coincidences happens for the good. I just finished a book on CPS placing a family with two gay cowboys and wasn’t ready to leave that world. Now I got to see it from the social workers side. Win-win for me!
Tanner is beyond exhausted. Overworked doesn’t even begin to describe his life. His dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep have circles it’s so bad. If not for the mandatory use it or lose it leave policy he would still be at his desk ready to fall over. He has decided he just needs a tiny bit of little time and he will get back to adulting. When he gets to The Garden fate seems to be on his side. They are having a first-time ever Daddy auction. Now if he can just remain awake long enough to bid! Dean can’t say no to his boss Madam Eve, owner of The Garden, the club he is DM and head of security for. She insists that he participate in their newest offering, Daddy Adoption. He is digging in his heels until he catches sight to the most beautiful and tired boy he has ever seen. When luck is on both their sides Daddy Dean and Tanner they send the best night of their lives in a long time. But Tanner is insistent that he has no time to indulge in his needs. Lucky for him fate may have other ideas…
Tanner and Dean worked for me. Poor Tanner needed Dean for his Daddy more than he ever realized. And Dean finally finding his perfect-for-him boy was the icing on the cake. I loved that both men had to work for this and learn to trust and communicate. I know Dean knew what he wanted and what needed to be done. Tanner, on the other hand, was a menace to himself at learning to trust.
Tanner’s boss was a true piece of work though. I hate when bosses abuse their position and their employees and that what he did. He deserved even more than he got.
My first story I read of B. Harmony’s was More Than Enough with a middle aged Eric finding his perfect Daddy with War Veteran amputee Sawyer ant The Garden. I was thrilled when we got a brief reconnection with these two in the playroom.
I am thinking I need Aspen’s story next and their Master Tomas. The spunky kitten in lavender ears that is the receptionist at The Garden has peaked my interest. I know that this book isn’t part of that series but I am really getting into The Garden club and it’s interesting members and staff.
This was just the book I needed at the perfect time and I can’t recommend it enough!!!
