REVIEW:
Harold feels kinda…well, boring. His life is just going along and it’s been a while since anyone or anything has really interested him. Until he stumbles over a box with a boy in it on the sidewalk.
Taylor is looking for something, but he’s not sure what it is. He’s a pup who needs a master but so far, he’s been hard to find.
This is the most adorable couple I’ve read about in a long time. They just kind of fall together and the fireworks start themselves. Harold never knew that taking care of someone could feel so meaningful. And Taylor? He knew that playing pup was the best thing in the world but maybe having Harold around could make it even better?
This is what I call a smile of a story. The only angst is based on the men’s own insecurities and self doubts. The author does a great job of portraying the way both guys grow and start to come together as a couple. Sex is the easy part, it’s navigating the emotions that makes things hard for everyone right?
Taylor’s friend James is an interesting guy and I would love to hear more about him and his love. I will have to look and see if the author has something about them or if maybe it’s in the works?
The sex is very steamy and sometimes sweet. And for a book dealing with kinks, I appreciate that there is as much about the mental side of it as their is the sexual. The banter between the guys is funny and they were very easy to relate to.
It was very evident where this story was going but you know what? That’s okay. I am coming to realize that sometimes the story is more about the journey and how you get to the happy ending.
This was a new to me author but I will definitely be going back for more. If you like very little angst and a very cute and happy ending, this book is definitely for you.
