Unrequited love hurts like hell
Levi Brown has loved Noah White since he was a teenager, but Noah isn’t looking for a relationship. Every time Levi sees him, his heart aches for what it cannot have. Because dear Lord, he wants Noah, in his life, in his bed.
Especially in his bed. The only reason Levi is still a virgin is because he was waiting for Noah. Except Noah doesn’t want him. Maybe it’s time for Levi to finally accept the situation and move on.
Something stirs for the first time
Noah White doesn’t find people unattractive – he just doesn’t want to jump into bed with any of them. He and Levi have been like brothers most of their lives, and when shocking news rocks Levi’s world, Noah is there for him. When their relationship intensifies, Noah is exhilarated and excited – and confused. It’s kind of fitting that the first person he finds himself wanting is his best friend, but not if Levi doesn’t want him that way.
How long before Levi and Noah see what’s right under their noses?
Maybe it’s time for an intervention…
REVIEW:
I was so looking forward to this one. I followed the whole series, I get to know all the Maine men, and I knew one of them was in love with one of his friends.
Levi knew he loved Noah since he was fourteen. He also understands Noah doesn’t love him back and isn’t even a guy who jumps into bed either.
Levi is still a virgin, he saved himself in a way. Now it’s time to move on, put on his skinny jeans, and head over to the gay bar and try to get laid.
Noah is shocked to see Levi leaving the bar with a man. It’s doing strange things with him.
Grammy is a sneaky one, she has plans for them. Noah should take a room in the house Levi and she is living in, there’s enough space.
It’s a slow burn, very slow, I’m so bad with it. Still, I loved it.
Noah and Levi get indeed closer living together, they have a lot to talk about and talk they do.
The whole story (read: also series), is quite mellow with a lot of conversations and reasoning, don’t expect high heat or excessive hurt, it is all mild, and there’s enough room for laughs and tears.
At the center of this series is Grammy, what a woman, feisty, sharp vision and mind, sweet, honest straightforward, and caring. She is all Levi got of family, she’s his everything. Her past is also Levi’s. There’s a beautiful side-story around this.
All the Maine men and Grammy are cheering at the sideline when Levi and Noah finally got together.
Watching them realize they are meant for each other was wonderful.
There is a marriage in this last story of the series, yes! Finn and Joel will get married and Levi is the best man.
Overall a captivatingly written lovely series, the concept was wonderful, with ordinary people, who could live next door. But as you know every person has their own story, that’s why everyone is special in their own way. This series is a great example!
