BLURB:
Stone is trying hard to get his life back together after blowing the whistle on his crooked boss, and Secret Springs seems like the place to do it. He has a bunch of new friends who are happy to support a struggling single guy, a bunch of new odd jobs, and a nice apartment. So what if he feels like he’s swimming hard and getting nowhere? He’s doing his best. Then he meets his hot neighbor Demetrius, and everything takes on a whole new shine.
Corset maker Demi wants Stone. He wants Stone in his life, in his corsets, and in his bedroom. And he generally gets what he wants. But when things get too serious too fast, both of them have to decide how far they’re willing to go, and how well they want to get to know each other, without letting any kind of emergency influence their emotions. Will these two just share a baby, or will they share their lives with each other for good?
REVIEW:
I am a big fan of Minerva Howe/Julia Talbot and this series just keeps getting better.
Stone is trying to make a new life for himself. He stood brave and took down his bosses for tax evasion and other crimes. Even though the Alphas and omegas look out for the wayward omegas that make Secret Springs their new home assure him he’s safe and his bosses are locked up he still keeps looking over his shoulder. When he has the most awkward meet-cute with the gorgeous and brawny Demi it couldn’t have went worse. But is this the end…or just the beginning.
I love this series and the fact that all the guys keep showing up and supporting the new omegas to their town. And I don’t know what’s in their water but knotting season seems to be year-round with lots of new babies being born all the time.
I loved that Stone seemed small and weak but he was fierce and wanted to pull his own weight. He wasn’t looking for a sugar daddy but a mate that treated and saw him as an equal but would still be sweet and respectful to him. And I loved that Semi was just that guy.
It was interesting that Demi was falling apart at his sweet Stone in pain for so long in labor but Stone stayed strong. And strong he had to be with the size of River! Just wow! I had 2 10 pound baby boys but River was half way grown coming out. He definitely too after Demi!
I am looking forward to more books to come in this and the original Secret Springs series. They interconnect so I really recommend that you read them all. They are fun, fast reads.
