Two older men are watching me, both wearing wry smirks. Has he spoken to them already? “Excuse me, Blaine. It was nice meeting you.” I don’t wait for his answer but approach the two men.
“Hi, I’m Hudson.”
“Rick,” the man closest to me says. “You met Blaine.” He nods over my shoulder.
I shake his hand and that of the other man who introduces himself as Owen. “I did. He’s a beautiful man.” No way am I going to say anything negative about the younger man. I don’t know him, and my assumption could be wrong. Or these two could be wanting him and only asked to know if I were interested.
“Not for you?” Owen asks, his eyebrow raised.
“I’ll have to see. I haven’t met or spoken to any of the others.”
“I’d like to spank him until his eyeliner runs and he’s begging me to stop,” Rick says.
“Ouch.” I chuckle, but I’m not too keen on this man. For some reason, he rubs me the wrong way. Time to change the subject. “Have you been on a Cuffd holiday before?”
They talk about their lives and the kind of boy they’d like to meet. It seems they both only want to have some fun here and aren’t looking for anything permanent. In which case, Blaine probably won’t end up with either one of them.
I leave Rick and Owen comparing notes and stroll around the terrace. A redheaded man sits alone at a table, scrolling through his phone. “Hi, may I sit here?”
He puts his phone down and grins. “Hell, yeah, Daddy. I’m Roddie.”
I laugh and sit down with the pretty man. The smattering of freckles over his nose and cheeks is the same colour as his bright hair. His green eyes sparkle with fun, but also with an intelligence that says ‘don’t underestimate me’. This guy is more my type.
“I’m Hudson.”
He’s an entertaining guy. He regales me with stories of all his horror dates with fake Daddies. Our chatter attracts others, and the circle gets larger and the conversation louder. The waiting staff keep bringing drinks and platters of hors d’oeuvres.
