My fated mate leads our rival pack. Can our forbidden love flourish, or will a terrible secret rip us apart?
Omega wolf Larkin Bolder was raised by his much-older brothers after a tragedy rocked the family. Back home from college, he’s all grown up, but they still treat him like a pup. Then Larkin meets his fated mate, Tracer Ramirez. He’s handsome, older, tough, doting and…the lead alpha of the rival pack, with whom the Bolder pack has a barely-stabilized feud. Larkin isn’t afraid of love. He’s ready to walk in, eyes and heart open. The problem is, Tracer’s keeping something from him. Something related to the feud. When the secret’s revealed, will it tear them apart?
Tracer Ramirez is lead alpha of his territory, and he keeps his bachelor pack well in line. Now in his late thirties, he never thought he’d find love, get mated, or have babies. When it turns out that Larkin Bolder, the sweet, brave, much-younger brother of the rival Bolder pack is his fated mate, Tracer does his best to stay away. He can’t resist an omega like Larkin for long, though, and the two begin a sweet love affair, but in the back of Tracer’s mind looms the secret that just might doom them, and turn the lives of their packs and everyone on their territory’s lives upside-down.
Will Larkin and Tracer’s bond start an all-out war? What happens when Larkin finds out the secret everyone’s been keeping from him? How will Larkin and Tracer find a way to stay together?
This is the fourth book in the Seven Corner Shifters series. It can be read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed in series order. This book has a HEA and contains occasional strong language, MPREG, and hot, spicy grownup stuff. The omegas are heating up and the alphas are very knotty boys. REVIEW:
It’s no secret I’m a sucker for this author’s shifter stories. With protective alpha’s, feisty omega’s, delicious scents, heat, knotting, mpreg, pups, the strong emotional pack connection and pack matters, the banter, the lighthearted humor, hurt comfort, but never with unbearable drama, enough to let tears roll, or snort because of silly humor, it’s just the whole package that does it for me.
Larkin is the Benjamin of the family, the youngest brother, an omega. It’s sweet but highly annoying his brothers and certainly the eldest, the pack leader, is overbearing protective of him.
What are the odds, that exactly a rival pack leader, alpha Tracer Ramirez is his fated mate.
At first sight slash scent Larkin laid eyes on Tracer he knew it and saw the confirmation in the alpha’s eyes, they are fated mates.
Crossing the borderline between the two pack areas means much more than just crossing.
On a run Larkin meets the magnificent wolf again, strong, confident, and quiet.
Larkin wants Tracer and Tracer has trouble resisting. So very tentative and secretly they start romancing each other. Of course, they fit like a glove.
Oh gosh, if his brothers knew! Because there’s a big issue hanging between the two packs, Larkin feels Tracer is holding back and has a secret.
There’s an epic gesture in this story and I gotta confess I cried my eyes out and read it five times over. Jeezzz, that was super emotional!
I loved this one hard, it had all the ingredients for a wonderful story, and it was wonderful. Smoothly written, with a fast comfortable pace, clearly outlined, and all the feelings!
