REVIEW:
There are not two more gifted authors than T.L, Travis and Ann Lister. Their Rock Stars literally come to life on the pages.
Maiden Voyage is the band that was introduced to you when the Social Sinners premiered on the world stage. These guys, Ryder, Derek, Jaxson and Shadow, took Joey, Stoli, Mickey and Diamond under their wings and helped them fly. I was so excited when I learned that we were getting their stories and also Max Hightower’s too.
We knew that Ryder and Joey used to have “a thing” before Joey finally realized that his Stoli was it for him. But when Ryder saw Max he knew that wasn’t love. Max was the real meal deal. He just had to make Max understand how real they are.
I never realized that Derek had had a thing for Ryder. It now makes so much more sense why he acted the way he did sometimes. I love that Logan opened his eyes and his heart to what true love really is. And having Colby, his son with his ex-wife Lorraine, teacher be his “it” guy was classic. Logan even came with a plus one in the form of his BFF Julia for Derek’s bodyguard Reagan.
I wasn’t sure how Ms. Travis was going to pull off the enemies-to-lovers between Jaxson and his neighbor Shep. After that fiasco with the poop and the catapult and was sure Jaxson was going to lose everything. But enemies-to-lovers is always and explosive sub-genre and this was a great one. Poor Shawn seems to be the only guard that got left out for his plus one.
Shadow was the one I just could figure out through this series. He was the talk, dark, brooding type that grunted more than anything. His back story with his dad was so heart crushing and unfair. And Lucas was the last person I would have ever expected to turn up on Shadow’s arm at Ryder and Max’s wedding! If you don’t remember, Lucas was Joey’s boyfriend clear back in high school that got caught cheating on him at an after party of Maiden Voyage’s. His father was really and awful and despicable excuse for a man and father. Poor Lucas has been used and abused all his life. I was so thankful he and Joey has a chance at closure. And what Lucas, Damian and Kieran endured at the hands of their boss was horrifying. Thankfully Shadow and Tony showed up right when they did! And I love how life turned out for Tony too. Plus Javier’s (Shadow) family was the best…especially Mama! She took those poor “lost boys” and showed them what a real Mama is.

I am excited that we got to know a little bit more of the Social Sinners and Maiden Voyage’s opening act Embrace the Fear. Their series is up and running and we got to see Rhone and his chef boyfriend Ely, who you get to know in Rhone’s Rebel. I can’t wait to meet more of the band soon.
If you have not read the Social Sinners series I recommend you read it first. These two bands have so much history with each other and Maiden picks up where Social left off.
I am in love with all these guys and was so thankful I was given the opportunity to visit them again. Great series about some pretty great rock stars and the men they love. Huge thumbs up for me!
