Antagonist by Ana Ashley
Dads of Stillwater, Book 1
One artist. One attorney. Two single dads.
Meeting at a bachelor auction for charity had trouble written all over it as far as I was concerned, especially when the guy that won the bid for me seemed to be after only one thing…a good time between the sheets.
Refusing Fletcher’s advances was easy the first time round. After all, we weren’t meant to see each other again.
Except I’ve just moved to Stillwater where Fletcher lives.
Except both our kids are in the same class.
Now the kids are fighting and I’m ready to throw my own punches.
If only Fletcher wasn’t as goddamn irresistible as he is irritating.
When the fight moves from the playground to the bedroom, who will come out on top?
Antagonist is book 1 in Ana Ashley’s new series, Dads of Stillwater.
Single dads, sassy kids, Ana’s usual cast of intriguing secondary characters, Stillwater has it all.

One look at the sexy, broody Harrison, and I forgot the reason I’m here tonight. And as soon as Harrison said he was being auctioned, I knew no one else would be taking him home.
Possessive much, Fletch?
I shrug and point to Harrison. Sage shakes his head ever so slightly, and I see the corners of his lips curl a little.
A cough grabs my attention.
“If you’re going to bid on someone else too, I can go.” Harrison’s voice has a tinge of annoyance, but his eyes say something else.
“Not so fast, stud muffin. You’re not getting away from me that easy,” I say, taking a long appreciative look at him, from his carefully styled hair to the tips of his polished dress shoes.
I take his hand and lead him to a room off the main hall. Since I was meant to be here for Sage, I’m well versed in the rules of the auction.
“Where are we going?”
I ignore his question as I push the door open and pull him inside. Something makes me certain this scaredy-cat will claw his way out at the earliest opportunity. The moment the door clicks shut, I turn to face him.
Harrison is slightly taller and definitely has a few pounds on me. Despite my best efforts, I’ve never been able to bulk up. I’ve accepted my lean frame for what it is, and there are definitely perks to being lighter than the guys I usually go for.
Harrison looks like he’s effortlessly hunky. As if he can stare at a weight bench and magically gain muscle in all the right places.
“I don’t think we’ve been formally introduced,” I say, pushing my thoughts aside.
He parts his lips, and a slow puff of minty, warm breath comes out.
I want to apologize for my earlier words, put some distance between us and give him the option to go, but I can’t. He smells too good, so I take a step forward.
