REVIEW:
This one was a bit harder for me to read them the first one, because with everything going on in our world, I can’t lie. I really had a thought of wishing it could happen here. But I’m not here to start a political war, so we will leave that alone.
If you read the first book, which if you haven’t you need to, then you will know the world as we know it was in grave danger. Or at least most of the world. As I said, if you haven’t read the first one, you need to, as they go in order.
When you think about what could really happen in these terms, it’s a hard concept to really grasp. I have to agree with Mitch in most of this book. While the concept of starting over would be a great one, the thought of not having those you love around would be heartbreaking. Especially if you know that they are good and kind people that could make a difference. But when you think about the terms of what was being offered, why is that a hard concept to follow? And like Claytone says in the book, some people just can’t let go of the feelings they have.
It’s definitely a psychological book. So many what ifs and could haves, etc. It’s something that makes you wonder what things would really be like if it occured in real life. But, then again, my brain goes there so often it’s not something foreign to me lol.
It’s one thing I have to say that I love about Matt’s books. Even if they aren’t down right scary, they give you something to think about.
