He’s as off-limits as a guy can be. So why do I want no one but him?
London
Of all the guys in the world, I just had to fall hopelessly and irreparably in love with my twin sister’s boyfriend. No amount of parties with happy endings can put him out of my mind.
Gabriel is also a dork, but he’s a hot as all hell dork. Somehow, he’s both a nerd and a jock and he pushes all my buttons. But he’s straight. He shouldn’t attract me the way he does. And did I mention they’ve been dating for two years? Yeah… They’re all but married.
I’m officially the worst brother – and human, let’s not pretend – in the history of ever.
And when my genius of a sister comes up with a bulletproof plan to help me pass my exams by convincing Gabriel to tutor me, I discover that my big, beautiful dork hides a secret even more ruinous than my own. The way he looks at me when we’re alone is almost all I’ve ever dreamed of.
But how many hearts will shatter if I take what I want? Is it not better that I let my love die quietly?
I hate wanting him.
Gabriel
I’m a hot mess and he’s off limits. We are a disaster in the making.
I can’t say no to tutoring London. It would look like I’m hiding something, which I’m totally not. But if I were hiding something, it would not be easy to keep it hidden once the lessons begin and we’re alone.
He crawls under my skin before I know it. He fills my mind with his rosy lips, high cheekbones, and sculped muscles. His male muscles, which I totally don’t like. Except, when I’m alone, letting him into my thoughts is a comfort I desperately need.
The more I’m with him, the more I see I might be dating the wrong twin. But there’s no easy way out of it. There’s no happy ending for anyone here. Unless…
Unless I do what I fear the most and own up to the truth: London is all I ever wanted.
REVIEW:
When we were first introduced to London in the previous books, I had the feeling that his story would be amazing. Well, here is book 3 of the Frat Brats of Santa Barbara, The Wrong Twin Dilemma by Mr. Hayden Hall.
London has an identical twin, her name is Elle. London has been in love with her sister’s boyfriend since they were kids, the three of them were childhood friends. Growing up, London slowly drifted apart from both Elle and Gabriel when they started to date. Don’t get me wrong, London is close to his sister and loves her so much but he just can’t take the heartache knowing that he will never get the chance to love Gabriel because for one, Gabriel is straight (or so he thought).
When he was having difficulty with one of his subjects, Elle suggested that Gabriel can tutor him as he already had the subject before and he is really smart. Fact that is proven when after suggesting some books that London can start reading to get him started, Gabriel then let London borrow some of the notebooks where he has written notes from his previous classes on the subject.
Unbeknownst to London, Gabriel began seeing him in a new light. Gabriel started to notice London in minute details. I would just like to mention that Elle and Gabriel had been experiencing a lackluster relationship. They are best friends and they had been lovers, but after once or twice, it’s as if, they are better off as friends but neither one wants to open that can of worms. So they continue in their so-called relationship. When Gabriel couldn’t take it anymore, he had to tell Elle how he truly felt about London after spending time with him.
These boys go to one of the most prestigious (and expensive) colleges in the state and so it is understandable to assume that they all come from money. One of the reasons why Gabriel has had to hide his true self is because if he comes out, he will be cut off, from everything. His father is his only family left and he knows that if he learns that Gabriel is gay, he will definitely cut off any privileges Gabriel has in his present life. But deep down I think Gabriel was more afraid of losing his father than his privileges.
But Life has a way of putting things in perspective when you least expect it. In order to save Elle from some humiliating gossip among their so-called friends, Gabriel came out, not only to his father, but to a whole community. He just couldn’t take it anymore that the people who love him have to go through all these humiliation in order to protect him. Likewise, he didn’t really want to lose London’s love and respect for him.
Sometimes, life puts us directly in front of situations which at first, we might balk at but ultimately are the same situations that makes us become the person we were meant to be.
I love this series and these amazing characters who have more depth in their person than what other people might perceive because of their status in life. Congratulations Mr. Hayden Hall!
