NOTE: This is the third book of the second trilogy, but it won’t make a lot of sense if you haven’t read the Zero Hour trilogy and the previous two books of this trilogy.
This book starts off with the long-awaited wedding of Royce and Sawyer. The rehearsal, the wedding, the wedding night – PERFECT! The Hummingbird cafe was the perfect place for these guys. Evangeline outdid herself! Sherry’s desserts (and a very special wedding cake) were *chef’s kiss* perfection. That’s right perfect, perfect perfect – aside from a small issue with a household appliance. LOL!
When they finally get away, there is a few more unexpected surprises along the way 😉 So of course you know that can’t last. The honeymoon ends up quite differently to the wedding bliss. They are all set to enjoy a relaxing romantic getaway. But nope. There’s a killer on the island where they are staying so the expected continuation of their perfect wedding is cut short.
The murder mystery here has them on the sidelines since it’ not their jurisdiction. There are irascible neighbors, a lot of island rumors and gossip but the disguises? Very entertaining. But they are on their honeymoon, so there are plenty of bedroom hijinks too 😉
The secondary characters and the mystery were engaging and I really enjoyed every page of this book! While this is the last book in this trilogy, Aimee has PRoMISED that we haven’t seen the last of them. I really hope we do because I absolute love these characters and the two series that followed their really beautiful love story. Highly recommended! A perfect wrap of that sees these two married and happy. Brava author!
