BLURB:
Bruno Garvin has been in love with one man in his life, and he’s married to him… Trouble is, the marriage was never supposed to be real. It was a passive aggressive way for Dominic Mazzola to show his mother that denying Dom’s sexuality doesn’t make it untrue.
Now, Bruno’s back in the States and Dominic’s more than angry with him for mailing the fake marriage license to the Recorder’s Office in Kentucky where they tied the fake knot with their friends on New Year’s Eve.
Bruno’s resolved himself that he’ll find a way to win Dominic’s heart, but when the traitor in their midst—the man he saw with Francesco Mangello in Italy—is finally identified by Bruno, will he inform the Torrente family or will he keep the secret in hopes of keeping Dominic?
What’s more important to a man with noble intentions—the fate of innocents or the love of his life?
REVIEW:
When I think this series can’t get any better continues to keep Sam blowing my mind!
Bruno might have had Mateo do him a favor and mail in Dom’s and his fake marriage license when he headed off on the secret mission in Italy for GEA and GEA-A. Someone has to find the Mole that is leaking secrets to Francesco Mangello and nobody in Italy knows the brave and noble young man that saved Parker’s life and went to jail to protect the Torrente family and business. Bruno may be young and have a learning disability that makes him feel stupid but he’s anything but! But will Dominic, the man that he loves with all his heart, forgive him for his underhandedness of legalizing their fake marriage?
I am loving this newer generation of Torrente’s. Dom was such a privileged little brat to everyone when he was younger but he’s finally growing up fast…especially after that panty dropping kiss Bruno laid on him in his bedroom in Italy after the wedding celebration! Phew!!! I wasn’t sure, after the big New Years Eve wedding-thon in Kentucky, how Dom was going to react to their fake wedding license being sent in and registered making their marriage real. But I loved how these two men came together to love each other. I knew that Bruno would be a good guy but never expected his heart crushing childhood back story. What miserable excuses for sperm donors those two were. They didn’t deserve to be even called parents because they weren’t ones! Not with the way they treated him. And Dom’s parents weren’t much better. He may have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth but their lack of compassion, or even good judgement, completely showed what disgusting snobs and users they really were. I’m thankful that Uncle Gabby took Dom under his wing even though that had to be very trying at times, especially in the beginning. He really had been a spoiled brat! And that the Torrente men took care of their own. Their own now included Bruno, who more than proved his loyalty and bravery to defend and take care of his found family.
I honestly believe that you really need to read this entire series in order so that you understand the dynamics of this series. Each book features a different couple but all the Heroes are an intricate part of each of these stories and their stories intertwine together. I know that the original men that fought together to defend our country are seeming to be taking a step back. They have found their true loves and are making a life for themselves but I know, if the situation presents itself, they will step forward and be there ready to defend and do what needs to be done to preserve and protect the lives of all those that they love. They are a family, either through blood or found, and will do anything to make sure that the one’s that they love will be safe. I am looking forward to Kelly’s story but it sounds like it’s going to be a tough beginning.
