Love can be found in the most unexpected places.
Charlie is on the verge of burnout from working three jobs while taking care of his newborn daughter. The single father desperately needs some down time to let out his inner, adventure-loving little. Fortunately, Cuff’d is there to save the day. The popular dating app is offering lucky winners a free, week-long vacation to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. A week with like-minded adults in a private mountain lodge? A free vacation to search for forest gnomes, fairy rings, and the Appalachian Bigfoot? Charlie is all in. He doesn’t need love, but he sure needs a break.
Emerson loves living and working in the Smoky Mountains. His job as a park ranger keeps him surrounded by nature and isolated from the rest of the world. Except for the bane of his existence – tourists. Emerson can tell that one in particular is going to be trouble. How many dates can the mystery man realistically lose in the woods? How many times can the man sprain an ankle? And there are only so many situations where someone can mistake a bear for Bigfoot, right?
Love at First Sighting is part of the Destination Daddies Season Two multi-author series. It is 23,000 words and features a gentle park ranger, an overly excited boy who loves adventures, and a guaranteed HEA. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many destinations and Daddies to discover, why not grab them all?
REVIEW:
Oh how I’m enjoying these new Destination Daddies books this second season!
Charlie is close to exhaustion! He can’t get a full time teaching position at either of the two community colleges he teaches history at so he has two adjunct part-time positions plus his job waiting tables at his favorite diner. That amounts to a solid 60 hour week. Add in that his slime bucket ex cheated on him and they are now divorced and Charlie is raising the six month old Georgie that their surrogate gave birth to as a single dad. No wonder he’s beyond exhausted. But he has great friends he’s made through The Naughty Angel club that has a thriving Daddy/little community. And he won the Cuffd getaway trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee so his dear friends Blue, a fellow little and playmate, and his husband/Daddy Zeke are keeping Georgie so he can go. When the exhausted Charlie doesn’t make it to any of the first day events and doesn’t show up for lunch or dinner, Emerson’s Dad, owner of the kink friendly, adult’s only The Hill Lodge, sends him with a tray of food to Charlie’s cabin. But what will happen when a gentle park ranger Daddy that longs for a boy and a family meets a sweet, over excited boy with a baby daughter who needs a Daddy?
This was a really quick, fast read that I throughly enjoyed. I loved that Emerson’s interfering but very well meaning family that turned their lodge into an adults only kink friendly getaway destination when they discovered who their son really was and what he desired. I can’t imagine a more loving and supportive family. And Emerson, a park ranger, was a person to admire. He is a kind, thoughtful, caring man that makes the perfect Daddy. And who wouldn’t fall in love with Charlie. His wide open excitement of all things in nature and fantasy made him the perfect little boy for Emerson.
This was a well thought out story that I could easily see progressing into a series based at The Hill Lodge. I throughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
