Can two very different men turn an intense holiday romance into lasting love?
Blurb
Jude
I shoot my mouth off and hide behind my smile as I try—and fail—to fill the void inside. Nothing has felt right since I was medically discharged from the army. Can there be more to life than a dead-end job and meaningless hook-ups?

I didn’t expect to win a Cuffd Destinations holiday, let alone meet a sexy guy who’s fun to be around. Jude doesn’t think he’s a Daddy, but I’m going to prove him wrong. Who knows what we might discover along the way?
Crazy Little Thing Cold Love is part of the Destination Daddies Season Two multi-author series. It features an emotionally scarred army veteran, a bubbly boy who sees the world in a unique way, summer snow, lots of steam, and a happy ending. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many destinations and Daddies to discover, why not grab them all?
Trigger warning for mentions of PTSD, flashbacks, and nightmares.
“I’m excited about seeing the ice palace.”
Jude smiled, squeezed my hand, and then led me into the hole. The entrance to the ice palace was too narrow to walk side by side, so Jude let go of my hand and allowed me to go in front of him.
“Wow!” I ran my hands along the ice walls. “It’s like walking into Narnia. Only without the fur coats.” I shivered. “Why does it feel colder in here? It was zero degrees outside, wasn’t it?”
“Yes, but the sun made it feel warmer.”
“Ah, and right now, we’re going where the sun don’t shine.” I glanced over my shoulder and winked at Jude. “You can go there again later if you want.” I yelped as I slipped, and my feet disappeared from under me.
Jude caught me and set me back on my feet. “Pay more attention to where you’re going than making suggestive comments, boy.”
“Yes, Daddy.” I gave him what I hoped was a cheeky grin and then focused my full attention on getting through the tunnel in one piece.
The tunnel began to slope down. Thankfully, guide ropes were attached to the walls, and there was rubber matting on the floor. Where the way down became too steep, stairs had been put in place. A dozen pairs of feet clanging on the metal steps echoed around the tunnel. I glanced back to make sure it wasn’t a noise that might trigger Jude’s PTSD. He smiled and then gestured for me to watch where I was going.
The deeper we went, the smoother the walls became. The lights that guided our way made the ice glisten and shimmer. I knocked my knuckles against the wall and discovered the ice was as hard as a rock. There were moments when the tunnel opened and we could see pockets of natural ice sculptures. I didn’t know how they’d formed, but they were eerily beautiful.
Before long, the tunnel stopped, and we had to climb down a hole using several metal ladders. Jude went first. At the bottom of each ladder, there was a carved platform of ice to stand on and wait for the ladder below to become clear. I was getting colder, but the glacier’s beauty was worth it. Whenever Jude and I were standing together, he wrapped his arms around me, lending me some of his warmth.
On the way down, we saw caverns lit with colour-changing lights that had giant icicles hanging from the ceiling. The shapes made by the ice were otherworldly. They were simultaneously beautiful and strange. Sometimes, we could see the discolouration of minerals seeping through from the surface, but most of the time, the ice was perfectly white or clear.
Eventually, we reached the bottom and followed the guide and the rest of the party through a narrow crevasse. Jude had to walk at a slant, as his shoulders were broader than the opening.
“It’s tight down here, Daddy, just how you like it.”
He shook his head sternly, an action ruined by the upwards quiver of his lips and the tremble of his chin.
