Sorcery’s Kiss by Kayleigh Sky
Demon Tales and Fairy Games, Book 1
Welcome to the Fillery Hotel, home to the Bells and Balls Convention, and last stop for a runaway fairy prince and the grumpy demon hunter who loves him.
Dick Slumber is a growly demon hunter with a three-legged cat he doesn’t want and a secret he must keep at all costs. But Dick has a problem—he’s not who he says he is, and he’s running out of ways to hide it.
Gin Lark is a feisty fairy prince whose job is to help his sister keep demons out of the human realm. But Gin has a problem—he doesn’t possess an ounce of magic, and somebody wants him dead.
When Gin goes into hiding as a hotel housekeeper, and Dick is hired to find him, they discover themselves in the center of a cursed hotel, a resurrected pinball convention with its own secrets, and a tear in the sky called the rift, which is about to let loose a horde of demons.
Falling in love should be the last thing on Dick and Gin’s to-do list—unless love is the only thing that can save them.
Sorcery’s Kiss is book one of an exciting new MM paranormal fantasy series called Demon Tales and Fairy Games, where demons, fairies, and trolls live with unsuspecting humans. Sometimes light, sometimes dark, always sweet, magical, and romantic. Happily ever after guaranteed. Each book is linked but tells a complete story. No cheating, no unkindness.

“It’s an old house,” Dick said, “so there’s only one full bath. I had it remodeled though, so there’s an actual shower. It’s not big but…”
He made no offer to come in with him, and Gin was glad of the alone time to wash the stink off his skin. Any other time—soapy, steamy, slippery sex. Oh yeah.
“Towels are in the cupboard, and I can wash your clothes if you want. Just leave them outside the door.”
Wow. “Thanks.”
Dick nodded. “Come downstairs when you’re ready.”
He didn’t know what kind of star he’d woken up under that morning, but he’d pay it overtime if it stuck with him.
He closed himself in the bathroom and leaned against the door for a moment. A laugh swelled in his chest. He could fit ten of Dick’s bathrooms into one of his. The remodel fit the style of the house though. Subway tile, a claw-foot tub, a single pedestal sink, and a corner shower stall behind bubbled green glass.
After depositing his clothes outside the door, Gin stepped into the steamy enclosure and groaned. Though it felt odd for a bone-deep cold to hit him out of nowhere. It had to be the cold of wet cement and dripping eaves he’d refused to feel for days now. But it was better not to wallow, so he’d pushed reality as far away as he could get it. Now it was coming back, and his eyes stung. And not just because of the hot water pummeling his skin to a bright red glow. Living on the street had scared him. Frozen him with a kind of cold that made him forget the damp chill of real life gnawing at him. What if nothing got better? What if he could never go home?
He put his face under the stream and told himself he wasn’t crying, but he probably was. His body went loose and tired. What if he just fell asleep here?
Dick’ll carry you to bed.
For some reason, he knew that. It was stupid. He was probably stupid for giving this guy an honor he’d barely shown himself worthy of yet. But he hadn’t turned Gin in for stealing. He’d bought him dinner. He was even washing his clothes.
To keep you here.
Serial killer… serial killer…
That was stupid too. He didn’t believe it. Gin wasn’t being honest, and maybe Dick wasn’t a hundred percent honest either, but Gin felt safe with him. He had a three-legged cat. Did serial killers have cats?
He should look that up.
