Collar Me is an MM puppy play romance with housemates that become lovers, handcuffs, a fantasy toy, a jealous puppy and lots and lots of snuggles. It’s the third book in the My Kinky Housemate Series and, while it can be enjoyed as a standalone, it’s better to read it after Sugar Bunny and Plaything.
“Let’s train,” I say.
He grins at me. I sit on the sofa opposite him and pick up one of the fist mitts. Theo raises his arm so I can slide it onto his hand and zip it up. I flick my gaze between my task and him as I put the second mitt on. The way he’s watching me steals my breath. His eyes are bright and attentive; his lips are curled into an excited smile.
Once both the mitts are on, I remove his house ears and pick up the hood. It’s made of black leather and has been shaped to resemble the head of a Labrador puppy. I slip it onto him and carefully clip the clasps under his chin and at the back of his head. It has a full muzzle designed so the mouth is always slightly open. I assume I’ll be able to feed him treats through the mouth. It doesn’t take me long to realise the muzzle can be taken off the mask, which would let Theo eat and drink freely.
Finally, I put the collar around his neck and then scratch his head between his ears. He closes his eyes and pants happily as he pushes up against my hand. When I stop, he lets out a mournful whine and rests his chin on my knee, gazing up at me with sad eyes.
“All right,” I say, scratching him again. “But then we’re going to train.”
He lifts his head, eyes bright. If it were possible for him to perk up the ears on the hood, I’m sure he would. He rocks onto his hands and knees, panting as I scratch his hair for a few more seconds.
I take my hand away. “Sit.”
He obeys, tilting his head slightly as he stares up at me expectantly. I stand and move away from him. Theo goes onto his hands and knees and follows me. To be fair, I didn’t tell him to ‘stay’.
“Sit.”
He obeys.
“Stay.”
He whines. I step away, and he tries to follow.
“Stay.”
He hangs his head, his stare fixed on me. This time, he stays.
“Good boy.” I walk to the edge of the room and then pat my thigh. “Come.”
He bounds over to me. He’s wearing a strap-on rubber tail that wags from side to side as he moves.
Colette’s personal love story began at university, where she met her future husband. An evening of flirting, in the shadow of Lancaster castle, eventually led to a fairytale wedding. She’s enjoying her own ‘happy ever after’ in the north of England with her husband, two beautiful children and her writing.
