An old-fashioned britches ripper with a tooth and claw twist.
I’m worried about Emory.
War is coming to Prosper Woods and I would do anything to prevent it.The last thing I planned was to start a war but when I rejected Penelope McCurdy, breaking our betrothal, I should have known her father, clan leader Alistair McCurdy wouldn’t let it go. He’s promised to wipe out my clan and kill everyone I’ve ever loved but I won’t let that happen. Most of all, I’m not about to let anyone harm Emory, my precious mate. I’d lay down my life to protect him.
I’m worried about Caster.
Mother Nature has blessed me with a beautiful man but ever since our mating, our home in Prosper Woods hasn’t felt safe. I know Caster loves me and though he doesn’t show any outward signs of concern, even I can sense Alistair McCurdy’s threats are eating away at him. The last thing I want to do is to distract him from what he and our allies are planning. When tragedy suddenly strikes our happy home, we both realize we’re much more vulnerable than we thought.
The world as we know it may be ending.
Join Caster and Emory in the stunning conclusion to the Prosper Woods Wolves as they find themselves backed into a corner with no way out.
REVIEW:
A war is brewing and Prosper Woods is in the bull’s eye!
Caster and Emory have found each other and are true mates. However, by Caster choosing Emory over his betrothal to Penelope McCurdy, war is coming. Alistair McCurdy and his clan have been slighted and embarrassed. It is just a matter of time. But now there is more as Caster’s father, King Khowardzadeh, has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. Just when things look like they couldn’t get worse, Emory is kidnapped and Caster may never see this true love again!
I have to say that Patty Logan takes things to the extreme when her men are captured and tortured. Always expect the unexpected when her heroes are at risk. I didn’t expect it to be sweet, little Emory though to experience her twisted torture but he has showed before that he might be small in stature but never, ever underestimate his strength when it is needed.
I am thankful that we got at least a small glimpse of the characters that have made this town so endearing. I am thrilled that Caster’s son Prince Hannibal and Caster’s son Oliver have become such good friends. Both are such sweet and mystical young boys. Those two will be a force to be reckoned with when they come of age!
I was disappointed with Caster lashing out at Emory. How he could have thought badly of his mate completely blindsided me but I was thrilled when both Violet and his father put him in his place because he deserved it.
I have been eagerly awaiting yet dreading this day. Patty Logan challenged me to open my mind to mystical beings I knew nothing about and then made me fall in love with each and every one of them. And now they are going to disappear with turn of the final page. My heart is breaking to leave the quaint, weird, eclectic town that I have grown to love and its inhabitants as they continued their adventures while fighting the good fight for good over evil…and winning. This series is about true love and lasting friendships that triumph over ancient grievances and conflicts to band together in brotherhood and support of each other…no matter their backgrounds or breeds. It is stories of unconditional acceptance and support of all. I have loved each and every character and, as I wipe away my tears, will miss visiting them all.
