The elevator, as usual, was out of service. Both of them were panting and flushed by the time they reached Spike’s apartment. Galvin shucked off his sodden jacket and looked around. “Where should I—”
“Anywhere’s fine. Here.” Spike grabbed it from him and tossed it onto a nearby chair.
“Are you sure? It’ll drip on the floor.”
“My floor’s been through worse.” And right now he didn’t want to worry about details like where to put the coat. He slid his hands up beneath the hem of Galvin’s t-shirt. “You’re drenched. Lift your arms up.” Galvin obeyed, and Spike peeled the shirt off. Goosebumps had broken out all over Galvin’s chest and arms, and his nipples were tiny pink bullets. Spike pulled him close, rubbing his hands up and down Galvin’s arms. “Damn. You’re really shivering. You want a hot shower or something?”
“I’m okay.”
“Let me—hang on. I’ll get you something dry. Just stay—”
Galvin looped his arms around Spike’s neck and kissed him, cutting off his words.
His lips were soft, full, easy to sink into, like a warm, plush bed. They parted easily, willingly under the slightest pressure. Spike’s hands drifted up to frame Galvin’s face between them. The tip of his tongue flicked against Galvin’s lips, then slid between them, tasting the heat and wetness of him, the sweetness of his mouth. Instantly, the rest of the world fell away, toppling over like a cheap cardboard set; the kiss became everything. Spike could melt into those lips, could disappear into them. He tried to keep the kiss soft, to go slow, but the hunger quickly took over.
Still kissing, they made their way awkwardly over to the couch and tumbled onto it. Spike showered kisses onto Galvin’s face, his neck, his collarbones, paying particular attention to the little constellations of freckles there. Something about the freckles always got him.
“I’ve been thinking,” Galvin said breathlessly.
He slotted his thumb into the vulnerable, warm hollow between those collarbones. “Yeah?”
“Maybe you could, um.” He swallowed. “Tie me up.”
A jolt of heat shot to Spike’s cock. He lifted his gaze, meeting Galvin’s.
“It’s—you know. We’re both into that kind of thing, right? And last time, even if we didn’t use any ropes or anything, we were sort of imagining what it would be like. You telling me to keep my hands there…”
He wanted that. Of course he did. Just imagining restraints pressing into that tender, firm young flesh was driving him wild. But it seemed like too much, too fast. Their first time had been an impulsive explosion of passion, pent-up desires bursting free all at once. Now, they had the clarity to stop and consider what they were doing. Should they jump straight to bondage stuff? Or should they try quote-unquote normal sex first?
He kept his voice low and neutral. “I need to know, Galvin. Is that something you want? Or do you want it because you think I want it?”
