After quitting his job, Billie Watts hits all the food festivals he can as he drives across the country. When he finally reaches Stoney Brook, Maine, he’s excited to find he’s there just in time to try one of the lobster rolls he’s heard so much about. The bright neon yellow food truck with a giant red lobster on top looks like the perfect place to try it.
Lance Karl is as ready as he can be for the start of the three-day Tall Ships Festival and hopes to sell enough lobster rolls out of his food truck to make a good start towards owning a restaurant. The day begins cold and misty, and a text from his nephew saying he can’t help him is not the perfect start he’d hoped for.
When a green-eyed stranger interrupts his frantic morning, Lance doesn’t realize meeting Billie will not only change his day, but maybe even the rest of his life. Two strangers, drawn together over their work ethic, and sealing the deal over delicious lobster rolls. They could just be the perfect match. A small-town MM Vacation romance.
REVIEW:
If all the books in this new series are as good as this one I’m in for a real treat!
Billie Watts is driving across America checking out all the food festivals he can find after quoting his job. He arrives in Stoney Brook, Maine just in time for the Tall Ships Festival and finally his opportunity to try a real Maine Lobster Roll! Lance Karl is looking toward the bigger picture…opening his very own brick and mortar restaurant in his hometown. He owns his own food truck and has perfected the perfect roll for his lobster rolls. When his nephew flakes on him at the last second of his first major Food Festival he is so screwed! When his first customer of the day, a very attractive man, offered to help out he can’t say no. Days are fast and busy and the nights are getting very interesting but what happens when the tall ships set sail out of the harbor come Monday?
This was a quick read that had me turning the pages as quickly as possible. Both men were sweet and hard working. And their chemistry just worked. They were same minded in work ethic and future goals. And I just really liked them and was really hoping this wasn’t just a quick fling but that they would work out.
If you are looking for a fast paced novella that is low angst, a cute couple that are a couple of foodies and deserve the best then look no further. This is the one for you.
