Love Bytes Celebrates 9 Years: Dani Talks including Giveaway

9 years wow.

Who would have thought that when I found a storyline on YouTube it would lead to all this.

By accident or perhaps it was meant to be, I stumbled upon the storyline of Luke and Noah, characters from the long time soap As The World Turns, on YouTube when, let’s say, I wasn’t at the best state mentally.

Completely obsessed, I followed the storyline and dove into a completely new world. For who don’t remember the soap or the characters you might remember it was all over the news because the storyline included the first Gay kiss on Daytime Television ๐Ÿ™‚

Introducing me to new fandoms, new friends (shout out to my Nukies all over the world ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

From the fanfiction of Luke & Noah to fanfiction of other fictional characters (shout out to the Drarry lovers out there) to the original stories.

I guess that is how it all started.

When being asked to review by a dear friend ( Hi Sid ๐Ÿ˜‰ )ย  after refusing a couple of times he finally got me to a point that I was like ok, let’s do it.

When the time came to do more and more behind the scenes, it eventually led to me taking over the blog and changing the name to Love Bytes Reviews.

Now we are 9 years further and have seen many reviewers come and go. We have a loyal crowd of followers and the support from amazing authors in the LGTBQ+ genre and I am very proud of that.

Without every single one of them there wouldn’t be a Love Bytes for sure.

I guess off to the 10 year anniversary next year ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. I always slashed bandmates and hockey players in my head, so I was happy to find m/m romance! (As opposed to the gay fiction of the time, which, though much less dark than it had been in the past, didnโ€™t often have HEAsโ€ฆ)

  2. Congratulations on these nine years. I stumbled upon your block some five years ago, and have been following ever since. You’ve helped me discover new and interesting books <3

  3. Ah, fan fiction days. I remember those. Love Bytes Reviews has been so important to me as an author. Can’t wait to see what the next 9 years bring!

  4. I appreciate all the reviews. There are too many books published and only so much time I can read (I have to sleep sometime!). That is why I depend on Love Bytes Reviews to point out new authors to me that write amazing stories.

Please take a minute to leave a comment it is so appreciated !
