A feel good, low-angst tale of a love story between a famous movie star and a young man who has recently gone through a life-changing event in his life.
After being involved in a scandal with his co-star in an upcoming movie, Kieran Aiello was sent to cold Sweden in order to hide from the press and wait until all the hoopla dies down. His partner in crime, Rook Warrick was also sent somewhere.
Unexpectedly finding himself befriending his neighbor when they met in the hot tub was not on his things to do. But meeting Rory has just made this stay a lot more bearable, so much more. Kieran has always shied away from being in a relationship. With the kind of job he has, it is also very difficult to determine if it was really love or just an avenue for his partner to ride on his name and become famous themselves. And his schedule wouldn’t allow him to have a relationship as he was always on the go.
After being dumped by his fiancée for her best friend broke Rory’s heart. But his own best friend told him to make use of the honeymoon package that he booked for his honeymoon, thus him being alone in Sweden on what was supposedly his honeymoon, having a “me moon.” Rory has realized lately how bad his relationship was with his ex-fiancee. He realized that she abused him verbally and psychologically, making him feel inadequate and always comparing him to her best friend who she ended up with, by the way. During the entirety of their relationship, she was always undermining him, making him feel lacking. So it was both painful and a relief when things ended between them.
Meeting a movie star during his “me moon” never figured out in his plans but Kieran is so different in person, he is sweet, caring and so lovely. As they started to get to know each other, Rory found himself attracted to Kieran, a man (which has never happened to him before), not because he is a celebrity but because of who he is in real life. And Kieran has never met anyone who sees the real him, not the famous movie star, but “him.”
If you have a penchant for uber-sweet, chance meeting, bi awakening, fluffy love story, then this book is definitely for you. Ms. Ariella Zoelle writes these amazing tales that I am sure you will all love.
