Game, set…match made in heaven
Heir Quinn Valenzuela has little interest in sports – even less interest in the sports gear giant, Sparta Athletics, that funds his life of leisure and excess. But he’s never been happy… he’s never really been anything other than bored to tears in the world’s most fabulous locations.
it takes one night to change everything for him. Forever.
When Quinn gets the phone call that his grandfather has died and left him the controlling shares of Sparta, he’s shocked. Quinn does the only thing he knows to do. He goes home to Seattle.
What he finds there is a fight to be respected, which he deserves, and a gorgeous resentful enemy that he never knew he had — ex tennis pro turned businessman Porter Davis, his grandfather’s prickly uptight next in command.
Quinn hates Porter. Until he doesn’t.
Porter hates Quinn. Until he doesn’t.
It’s starting to look like they’re destined to be in each other’s lives, but as what? Enemies? Business partners? Or maybe much, much, more?

REVIEW:
This was a new-to-me author that I’m thankful I finally found.
Quinn Valenzuela is the poor little rich boy. Sent to private boarding school at the age of ten, he has lived the last six years playing all over the world but now it has become a bit boring. But life changes in an instant with the call from his mother. His grandfather has died unexpectantly and now he must fly back to Seattle. What he never expected was that his grandfather would leave him the controlling interest in Sparta Athletics, one of the top athletic merchandise companies in the world. And he had to remain in Seattle and run it. Now he has decided to give it a try, since nothing else was holding his interest and at his mother Marisol’s insistence. However now he has to work with the gruff Porter Davis who seems to hate him!
I love a good enemies to friends to lovers story and this one ticked all those boxes. Porter and Quinn are like oil and water until Quinn finally stands up to Porter and lets him know he is here to stay. But Porter just sees the flighty, rich, spoiled boy that will probably ruin the company he has worked so hard to help rocket to the top of their industry. When Quinn starts showing that he truly has a good head on his shoulders their working dynamic changes quickly. Porter discovers that he has respect for the younger man and has judged him wrongly. I am a bit surprised how fast their friendship and benefits progressed so quickly. Mixing work and friendship can be a struggle but adding a benefits dynamic was super fast and a bit reckless for both men. I liked how both men opened up and they grew but there should have been a talk long before it happened on where they were heading and what they both wanted before it was almost too late.
I enjoyed this book but wish that their problems would have resolved a bit earlier so that we could have had more of their life after they finally were able to get their true feelings out.
