A vampire on the most important mission of his life.
Caesar prides himself on his control. It has enabled him to create a business, and now a town, that keeps the omegas in his care protected. As a vampire who has been around a long, long time, his power is absolute and his authority goes unquestioned.
Garland tries to maintain a distance from his roommates at the boarding house. He dances at the Carousal Lounge when he’s supposed to, but otherwise, he closes himself in his room and studies day and night. It’s a lonely existence, but he’s determined to get his degree and fight for equality for him and his fellow omegas.
When a truth is revealed in the heat of anger and Garland considers fleeing, he discovers that he’s found a family whether he meant to or not and that Caesar will do whatever it takes to claim his mate.
In this final story in Sammi Cee’s Carousal Lounge, you can expect a repentant vampire and his infuriated mate, drool-worthy dancing for jealousy’s sake, unexpected magic, a father so besotted with his babies that the alpha shifters get nervous, and the chosen family who comes together to make everything right.
REVIEW:
It’s always bittersweet for me when a series I have come to love announces this is the last book. I develop feelings for the characters and don’t want to have them leave me. And I have truly loved this entire series. Meeting each of the dancers that Caesar (who I had no idea the omega’s he saved knew what he truly was but their mates had no clue) saved in one way or another and gave them a safe life in Bloomstown. A place that each of my favorites have met, fallen in love with their fated mates and started their own families. A place where the omega’s felt safe and formed a bond in Reign’s Crew.
It was wonderful that we not only got Garland and Caesar’s story. I don’t want to spoil a moment of their love story but it was pretty rocky at the first although I understand why Caesar did what he did no matter how torturous it must have been for him. Watching how they navigated the relationship was wonderful though. And I love we got the back stories on who Birdie and Aurora were (I didn’t see that coming!) and also the two mysterious visitors that always seemed at the lounge with Caesar.
Although it says this is the end of the series I was please to read the following: I’ve enjoyed writing mpreg so much that I’m going to stay in Bloomstown, only I’m tweaking my mpreg author name a little bit! S.M. Cee—not too different, but it’ll give us a little separation. When I turned the last page I will admit I was a tad bit disappointed for a moment. I knew this was the end of the series however I felt like too much was left up in the air for the future. Would Caesar run for Mayor of Bloomstown and would Garland get to move omega civil right’s forward as first mate? Would Zafar work beside them to make the town not only safer for omegas and their offspring, but create an environment that raises omegas to a level to be revered and honored, as it was generations ago? Would Sully become the Chief of Police and incorporate the Guardians onto the force? I am thrilled to hear that Flynn will become one of the MC’s for the new series. This means that I should get to get snippets at least of Garland and Caesar’s lives with the babies. I am wondering if a certain mischievous brother might be fated with him??? 😉
This was a wonderful conclusion to our dancer’s stories but there is more to come and I for one couldn’t be more thrilled! A must-read series in my opinion. Can’t wait for more!
