Sometimes, using a safe word gets you exactly what you want.
Canadian Zac Denman is young, rich and submissive. He’s also a kidnap risk who’s grown up in the shadow of bodyguards and security precautions. All he wants is to work out what kind of submissive he is in a safe environment and thanks to his very understanding father, he’s getting the chance to do exactly that. The Retreat in England is safe, discreet and willing to provide a selection of Doms for Zac to play with—a great way of discovering what he is, and isn’t, into.
Dale Gastrell is a friend of The Retreat’s owner, a member of The Underground BDSM club and a soldier turned landscape gardener thanks to an inconvenient bullet. Two weeks providing covert protection to a wealthy client who won’t even know he’s there seems like a perfect break from city life.
But life is never simple, and when Dale and Zac are thrown together, Dale has to fight his attraction. Zac is from a whole different world of wealth and privilege. He’s not for the likes of Dale who has to watch as Doms arrive at The Retreat to give Zac a taste of submission.
REVIEW:
As usual, with anything L.M. writes, especially with these subs, I am in love. It is so much fun, full of laughs, surprises, secret twists and bratty subs all wanting to be spanked.
The minute I read about Zac and then later, Dale, the minute I fell in love with the both of them for different reasons. Zac’s character could have been the snobby stuck up rich boy with a privileged attitude, but he wasn’t. He’s so down to Earth and sweet, yet so innocent. Dale, such a Dom with a air of authority that just swirls about him with just a glance. But again, like a lot of Doms, they are squishy about their subs. And even though they weren’t together, you could see the sparks between.
The funny part about this book is the ending. I was actually expecting things to go a bit differently toward the end, but I was surprised. The author tends to be sneaky like that 😉😉. The even funnier part was something else I wanted to happen, finally did. I honestly couldn’t have been more happy with the way it did end. It was a surprise twist, funny as heck, and a joy to read.
I love L.M.’s books. From the moment I first Olly, I’ve never been able to stop to see who is coming next and what it’s going to entail. And it’s always a pleasure to read. I always recommend any of these books to read. They really are a blast and leave you wanting more.
