CLUBBED TWO is historical fiction, set in Philadelphia from 1982 to 1992. Club Sanctuary can be seen as a metaphor for the greater LGBTQ community, but it is written as a real place, with characters who are fabulous, funny and flawed.
The author combines historical characters and events with fictional ones, creating a story that’s entertaining, informative and emotional. The love story between the two main characters, Joey and Henry, serves as a vehicle for connecting the stories of diverse, Queer characters.
This second book in the CLUBBED series continues the story as the LGBTQ community fights prejudice and ignorance in an effort to be recognized as people worthy of respect. Will the community be torn apart by fear, or will they come together to support PWAs? (People With AIDS)
Experience the drama, the beauty, and the excitement as well as the music, fashion and fads of the 80s with CLUBBED TWO: Anxiety, Anger, Activism.
As we passed by the many queer shops and restaurants, where Henry and I knew practically every entrepreneur, every owner, every waiter, every cashier, and probably half of all the customers, I had an idea.
Grabbing Henry’s hand, I steered him into the first bookstore we saw.
“Patrick, do you have a vintage section? You know, those old magazines and books from maybe 15 or 20 years ago? Maybe even older than that?” I asked.
Patrick had owned this bookstore for years, and he prided himself on having a good collection of queer literature.
“Not too many guys are interested in stuff that old,” he told me, giving me an odd look. “But go upstairs and hang a right. You might find what you’re looking for there.”
Taking two steps at a time, I was on the second floor before Henry even had time to climb two steps. “What the hell has gotten into you?” he asked when he joined me in the vintage queer porn section.
I didn’t answer. I was too busy scanning the titles. It seemed like 15 minutes before I spotted the prize, though in reality, it had only taken me a minute or two.
I reached into the stack and pulled out three different editions of exactly what I wanted. A magazine I knew would make the perfect gift for our new-to-be friend. Three copies of The Bicep Boys!!
I had to take a minute to look through those magazines, with Henry peering over my shoulder, breathing deeply into my ear and against my neck. I think it started with him making fun of me and faking those sounds of male desire, but between the hot horny guys in the photos and Henry’s heavy breathing and sounds of desire, my dick was getting hard as fuck.
Henry always knew when I was getting turned on. He could see it in my face, hear it in my voice and I’m pretty sure I just gave off a scent that he would immediately recognize as a male bitch in heat.
Placing the magazines back on the rack, right in front where they could easily be found, Henry turned me around to face him, grabbed the hardness in my jeans with his hands, and smiled.
“Didn’t Patrick say that hardly anyone ever comes up here?”
I knew Henry well enough to know what he was thinking. He liked adventure and public sex, with the possibility of being seen, was just the kind of adventure he was looking for today.
He pulled me by my cock to the back of the store.
“You got five minutes to work on me and I wanna be creaming your mouth before those five minutes are up.” His voice was a low growl. He knew how to be sexy, bossy, dominant, and demanding all at the same time.
Pushing me down to my knees, pulling his rapidly growing dick out, and pointing the tip at my mouth, he pulled the back of my hair so I’d open my mouth and swallow him whole.
“And no, you ain’t allowed to touch yourself, not this time,” he commanded when he saw me reaching to open my jeans for some stroking.
Three minutes later, Henry grunted loudly as he released himself into my slobbering mouth. I was licking him clean when I heard Patrick call upstairs, “You boys need any help?”
“Nah, Patrick, we’re all good up here,” Henry called out. “Even better than he thinks,” Henry whispered so only I could hear.
A minute later, we were at the cash register paying for the magazines, leaving for our meeting at the club, while my cock was still hard and dripping in my briefs from that quick encounter that left me almost crazy with desire for release. That’s how Henry liked it. He liked to keep me hungry and horny so that when I was finally allowed to cum, the feeling of pleasure was almost indescribably beautiful.
As I handed the money to Patrick, Henry took hold of my chin, saying, “Honey, it looks like you got a little juice there on your chin. Let me get that for you.”
Oh, he was sly. One of the many traits I loved about him.
He took his finger, wiping what I thought was an imaginary bit of his cum, then placing his finger against my lips, pushing, making me open my mouth right there in the store. I sucked his finger as Henry winked at Patrick, saying, “This one here’s been a bad boy this morning. A very good bad boy.”
I was surprised when I tasted the sweet saltiness of Henry’s cum when I licked his finger. Damn, there really had been cum on my chin. I was laughing when we walked out the door, back onto the streets of the Gayborhood. I felt at home here. And Henry always added that extra layer of protection. I knew I could count on him for love and support. Always. Unconditionally.

This sounds like a very interesting books. I like the way it combines real events with fictional from the 1980’s.
I think people are starting to forget the very compelling, important LGBT stories of that era, and this should be a great read!
