BLURB:
As the son of the tribe’s second most influential family, Siril’s fate was sealed by the law: he had to serve the son of the first family, the heir to the throne, Haul. That brat.
This was not at all how Siril imagined his life in the post-apocalypse. Surviving the war, the chaos, the end of the world, Siril had every right to think that life had already prepared him for everything. It hadn’t. Apparently. Not for Haul.
“You’ve got everything you need? Can I go?” Siril asked strictly.
Haul blinked twice in rapid succession with that innocent look Siril was already so familiar with. If he didn’t know it was honest from him, he would have thought Haul practiced it. He was beautiful, angelic, always, even now, unfairly.
“I’ve got everything, just…” Haul answered, then trailed off.
“Just?”
“It’s just… this is the coat I can’t take off alone, you know.”
Siril kept watching him until Haul blushed a deep red. Only then he stepped closer and started to open the straps on his shoulder. He saw Haul’s eyes flutter shut from the first touch; the collar chafed his neck and Siril ached to soothe it, he carefully ran a thumb over it. Already that made Haul gasp.

Haul’s and Siril’s is a love story with intense emotions, spirited heroes, and mind blowing sex. It is a 14k word roller coaster, where you will find gay romance and erotica with a delicious dom-sub dynamic, not the usual master-servant relationship ~ with a pinch of humour, heaps of yearning, and the indispensable happy ending, all in a low fantasy setting.
Serving Haul is the first stand-alone story of a limited series. The series will unfold the most exciting and crucial moments of our heroes’ love life. Each episode is enjoyable as a stand-alone read, and each is intended for adults only. It contains explicit homoerotic scenes.
REVIEW:
Okay, it sure wasn’t the perfect read or perfectly written, but it was a cute, sweet little story.
To be honest, I was a bit lost, I missed a story about the previous two years, that would have been great to read. Now we meet them for the first time after already two years. I had to guess what those years were about, how their dynamic was, how they got here, what their personalities are. The author made a choice to do it this way, I’m sorry, for me it didn’t work.
Like the blurb says Siril must serve the heir of the throne. It’s for two years. He has deep feelings for Haul.
When there are females found in the woods, the clan is in ecstasy, the chance for children.
Haul isn’t happy and doesn’t want to return to his tent with a waiting female for him.
The sexual part was attractive. Zooming out I can see the content, but while reading it was a bit confusing, I had to guess too much, the circumstances, the characteristics, the environments. I would have loved more development on every front. To be honest the blurb tells more than the story itself. For me, it didn’t deliver what it promised.
After saying all this, what was written, was enjoyable, it was a sweet, short, fast-paced story. Three small hearts for this one.
