Hale Anderson
The Air Weaver.
He was the freaking Air Weaver. Not exactly what he expected when he got kidnapped by the pestilents, but Hale’s good rolling with the punches.
He can take a little time away from his pursuit of a doctorate in astrophysics to save the world.
Except that the final spell is poised to kill all the Weavers and their last hope lies with him finding his soul mate.
Hale doesn’t want a soul mate. He just wants Harrison.
Harrison William Davenport III
As the Keeper of the Heart of the Earth, Harrison must bring the final key to the Weavers if they’re to stop the pestilents.
He’s trained for this task his entire life. And he’s prepared to die just like his father did with the last generation of the Weavers.
But what if saving the world isn’t enough anymore?
What if the only thing that matters is saving Hale?
REVIEW:
This is the fifth and last book in the series The Weavers Circle by Ms. Jocelynn Drake and Ms. Rinda Elliott.
It tells us about six brothers, six souls who find each other time and time again all through several lifetimes. It also tells us about the three sisters who are goddesses who hold on to their powers, their magic, until the brothers are ready to have them again, one lifetime at a time! The Brotherhood of Weavers are here to protect the world from being destroyed by pestilents, beings from another dimension who want to suck all our earth’s energy in order to save theirs!
We have met Clay and his soulmate, Dane. Then we have Baer and Wiley, Grey and Cort, and then in the previous book we had Lucien, Calder and Gio. This book will be about our last Weaver to arrive, Hale, a young beautiful man who got captured by the pestilents and was held for several days until the other Weavers were able to save him.
Hale Anderson is an Astrophysicist who was biding his time before pursuing a doctorate. He had the urge to travel to Georgia while taking a break from school. He never understood the urge until he got rescued by his brothers of the Weavers Circle. Now, as he was given his power and told of his part in saving the world, he feels like he’s endangering his brothers because he doesn’t really know how to use his power in order to win this war against the pestilents. He was told that they have to close the rift permanently this time. The rift that allows pestilents to come through from their dimension to ours. The Weavers have died over and over again, throughout many lifetimes, protecting the Earth and fighting the pestilents. They get reincarnated and come together again in order to fight the pestilents, again and again. They always die in the end, and the rift never gets close permanently.
Harrison William Davenport III, like his father, is the Keeper of the Heart of the Earth, He is a member of a society called The Guardians. Generation after generation, they await the arrival of the new set of Weavers and help them win the fight against the pestilents. When he was summoned by the Goddesses to finally come to Georgia, I presumed because the circle is complete with the arrival of Hale, readily he came. This is what he has been training for all his life. He knows what there is to know about the Weavers from studying what happened in the past. He has also trained in a few fighting styles in order to be able to help. He knows that he will die in this fight, just like his father.
But what makes this time different from the previous times is the presence of the Weavers’ soulmates! That has never happened before and the Goddesses believe that it will make the difference now. But Hale hasn’t found his soulmate yet, and he thinks that he is putting all his brothers at risk because of it.
There will be lots of action and shenanigans as well (Baer is here right?), and we will witness the power of the new Weaver, it is AWESOME! At some point, you would want to get in the action and kill all these pestilents too. There will be some sweet moments too, not only among the soulmates but especially between Hale and Harrison.
As the final book in a series that I have learned to really love, there is a mix of sadness and excitement. I am sad to see the series ending but I am excited to finally be rid of the pestilents, once and for all, and see our guys ALIVE and living their happily-ever-after lives with their SOULMATES!
Congratulations Ms. Jocelynn Drake and Ms. Rinda Elliott for another binge-worthy series to read through. I cannot wait for more!
