BLURB:
My life couldn’t get any better or more bizarre. Ever since moving to small town Prosper Woods, California, and meeting my vampire lover, the oddest things have been happening. Of course, a lot of that has to do with the fact that this whole place has turned out to be one giant melting pot of the strangest paranormal creatures on the planet. Let’s face it, this little place is like the United Nations of weirdos.
Not all of them like me.
I’m in love with my unicorn who just happens to be the most decent, honest, and kindest man I’ve known throughout my long life. I hadn’t planned on settling down forever. I usually must move on every 20 years or so, because I never age. I always wanted a family but alas, that wasn’t to be. Now, things are looking up and all because a curious little boy has come to town.
Unfortunately, our enemies are determined to spoil all this bliss.
I’ve had to combine forces with someone I absolutely hate. Plus…he smells like dog. The only reason we’re pairing up is because we share common enemies. A reckoning is coming for the vampire and the unicorn, and am I looking forward to ending them once and for all.
And if the kid gets in the way, I’ll just give him to Justine as a snack.
REVIEW:
** The Prosper Woods Chronicles series contains a continuing storyline and must be read in order. This review contains spoilers for the previous books. **

Yet again, Patricia Logan delivers an addictively wacky story packed full of paranormal species, evil villains, and two sexy as hell male leads in Vincent and Romeo. The story in True Prince, the third book in Ms. Logan’s Prosper Woods series, follows the same general structure of the previous series books (True Knight, True Mate, and True Blue), but it’s not predictable, at all. Nothing in this series is, and that’s part of why I like it so much. Ms. Logan’s excellent writing and creative character development don’t hurt either.
John Solo continues his narration of the series in the audiobook for True Prince. He delivers another engaged vocal performance that accurately captures the myriad supernatural characters inhabiting Prosper Woods. Since the prequel, I’ve been impressed with his interpretation of Vincent’s character in particular. He’s an infinitely sexy, powerful, gorgeous creature and the voice Mr. Solo gives him drips with his confidence and sultry demeanor. He also captures the dichotomy in Vincent’s character. He’s a vampire with a bloodthirsty side, while also generous, loving, dedicated, and fully committed to Romeo, who is literally and figuratively his unicorn.
The greatest challenge for this series’ narration comes from the number and variation of creatures in Prosper Woods, the “United Nations of weirdos”, as Ms. Logan has dubbed it. 🤣🤣 It’s tough to consistently differentiate so many characters, but Mr. Solo does an admirable job of it. His investment in his vocal performance here is evident and results in an overarchingly successful audio.
The True Prince audiobook provides an enjoyable, immersive experience for the listener. Start the storyline from the prequel, True Knight, and proceed through the books in order. These books are connected, so even putting aside spoilers (which are unavoidable unless you read the books in order), you’ll never be able to follow what’s happening unless you start the story from the beginning. I highly recommend this refreshingly different series.
