Their partners ran off together.
Now it’s their turn to fall in love again.
Little did they know it would be with each other.
There’s no rational explanation for my dislike of Sheriff Levi Barnes.
Deep down I know he’s not responsible for his omega running off with my alpha, but he pops up in the most unexpected places, always giving a helping hand I don’t ask for.
I have too much on my plate, running a Christmas tree farm all by myself and working on the one thing I want more than anything in this world. I don’t have time to fall in love. And definitely not with the man who reminds me of my shortcomings.
But Levi Barnes is persistent, and when circumstances bring both of us together, I’m forced to admit to myself that I like him…no, I want him. It’s a secret I plan to keep to myself, though. There can’t be anything more awkward than falling for the man whose spouse ran off with mine.
Saving the Omega’s Christmas is a short mpreg novel with a very awkward love that feels so right. Please see trigger warnings in the front matter.
REVIEW:
A bi-racial mpreg romance with a new twist!
Omega Demitri Hadden has had his world jerked from under his feet this last year when his mate ran off with the older omega mate of the Town Sheriff. Now he just tries to keep to himself and run the local tree farm he inherited from his biological father. When someone breaks into his office and appears to be still in there he has no choice by to call for help. His luck just keeps getting worse when it’s Sheriff Levi Barnes who steps out of his police cruiser. That is just the first of run ins that finally trigger a steamy sexual encounter in Demitri’s kitchen. But now Demitri’s fearful that this will trigger yet another round of gossip that wasn’t kind towards him the last time. But can he keep the sheriff at bay…or does he really not want to shut him out???
I love when I discover and learn new things about other cultures when reading a story. That came true again in this story. I learned a wee bit about the Rastafarian culture and some about their cuisine. I can honesty say that I had never heard of Ital cooking but found it intriguing and would have love to try it.
Demitri was so sweet and caring. The fact that his ex literally cheated on him and could have careless about how it would affect his mate was appalling. I love that Levi is the exact opposite of Asa. He was caring and kind yet so attracted to Demitri he could barely keep his hands (let alone other parts) off him. These two were perfect for each other. I also loved how Levi’s mom and son immediately took to Demitri and to his foster son Casey. It opened his closed off heart that he was destine to be alone for the rest of his life.
This was a wonderful new Christmas story with way more twists than I could imagine which kept my mind intrigued and captivated.
